[1.2.1.2] Unable to persist hidden quests in between game sessions

Hello, there has been a long time bug (IMO) in GD that I haven’t had a chance to ever report, till now haha. Essentially any quest you mark as “hidden” in the quest window, doesn’t stay hidden when you leave your character (let’s say exit Grim Dawn or go back to the main menu) and start a new game session. This becomes annoying since it means that if I let’s say start a new character, beat Krieg, and then unlock and speak to the Emissary for the Forgotten Gods expansion, but decide I want to continue playing the base game instead (in the meantime), then that means that the Emissary quest will be active for the duration of the whole game. Hiding it is only retained for the current game session. Once I end my play for the day and come back later, I’ll need to manually re-hide it (and any other quest I’m not interested in completing at the time).

and where’s the bad thing in that?

If I have a lot of quests that I’ve “picked up along the way” but haven’t had time to do all of them, then I don’t want my right side of the screen to be spammed by a lot of currently unfocused/inactive quests. The reason for having the ability to hide/unhide quests in the quest window is so that the player can decide which quests they want to focus on and make visible, all other quests would be invisible (per the decision of the player). It might not be as bad when there is just 1-2 extra quests, but this number can easily increase given the amount of content and expansions in the game.

I agree with you, this would be a nice QoL change expecially with another expansion coming.

I tendo to pick all the possible quest along the way, and complete them when I feel like. If for some reason I decide to do not complete some quest, I have to keep them “forever” (I know that I can hide ALL the quests).

Toggle all the ignored quest at the start of each session is not a big deal but a slog for sure

I never used this feature, but I would also expect the choice to persist between sessions. It only makes sense. I believe many players hide their quests, see them unexpectedly in next session and never bother to hide quests again.
