The link to this build made via Grimtools: Ritualist, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.2) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Fair warning! Some stats and values are marginally off in grimtools. This a problem with grimtools not with the build! The difference is very little but still there.
For example do i have 4 leftover skillpoints in grimtools which i DO NOT have ingame. That’s why those are NOT allocated.
Respectively slightly different are:
-Siphon Souls ingame is 1+4 (1+3 on grimtools)
-Bone Harvest ingame is 16+9 (16+8 on grimtools)
-Dread ingame is 12+11 (11+11 on grimtools)
After i heard that GC will release a new DLC Fangs of Asterkarn i couldn’t help me but play Grim Dawn once more. In anticipation of the upcoming new content and wanting to get back into this game i decided to remake my old Ritualist build from years ago. So these days i spend my time doing exactly that.
Currently i’m sitting at lvl65 in Ultimate with my Resistances uncapped and overall the build obviously not being finished. This build heavily relies on rotating Bone Harvest, Devouring Swarm, Siphon Souls and Wendigo Totem as active skills to deal damage but also drastically debuff mobs by lowering Resistances and the likes. On top come several sources of damage that trigger on being hit. Testing my old build on Ultimate proved this build is still doing what it is supposed to do from years ago - Dealing great amounts of damage whilst having good sustain. You can even afk in huge swarms of enemies because they are pretty much killing themselves by hitting you but thus also healing you since you got many layers of converting attack damage to health aswell as health regeneration and defensive procs like Prismatic Shield. Only the toughest monsters are actually somewhat of a threat for this build and even then only if you don’t pay at least a little attention to what is going on.
Crucible and most bosses but also hidden endgame bosses are done. Also able to deal with multiple Nemesis at once tho occasionally you may want to move at least a little and side step out of stacked AoE’s. Default Healthpool is around 21k but can ramp up to around 25k. Any incoming damage that ain’t some big bonk oneshot mechanic can be easily survived thanks to the up to 4k+ health regen and the immense amount of damage to health conversion which allows you to completly refill your life within just the blink of an eye.
My personal preferance is a Meat Shield for more tankyness but other viable options are Maw of the Damned shield, Valguur’s Focus or Padala’s Will.
My own choice is Valguur’s Focus for offense since it offers the biggest %Vitality Damage modifier out of these options and Meat Shield for tankyness.
Mark of Torment is another good source of damage since it grants Pain Absorption and reflects a big chunk of received damage back to it’s source and thus is a great tool for fighting bosses.
For the Devotions you’ll have to do some very little trickery by allocating a point in the center to unlock access to Gallows, Eel and Sailor’s Guide. Once you finished one of these you can simply unallocate the point in the center and use it elsewhere.
Overall i can guarantee that running the Campaign will be a breeze even on Ultimate with this build and also Crucible is overall a rather easy mode.
During levelling i highly recommend to focus on getting your resistances capped and after that take any opportunity to increase your %Vitality Damage, +X to Bone Harvest, Siphon Souls, Devouring Swarm, all Necromancer and all Shaman.
I’ve ran this build successfully since the release of Ashes of Malmouth DLC which introduced the Blood Knight Set.
