[1.2.1.2] Witching Hour's undead army Cabalist!

Introduction

You can make really tanky pet builds and go deep in the shattered realm, but also you can focus more on their damage side. Witching Hour Cabalist has the potential of stacking % damage to some insane values in order to compensate for the lack of significant -RR and Skeletons can deal some obscene damage. It’s a brave new post-apocalyptic world out there…

Gear

Key items here are the Witching Hour weapon (shocking revelation) and sprinkle of gear with skeleton modifiers/skill points bonuses. 2x Voidwhisper rings are mandatory for conversion. Sovereign Ruby makes Hellhound (your main tank) even stronger defensively, and here Bysmiel’s Domination shines. You need to stack every bit of damage possible. MI gear used is with best affixes, look for pet stats or player resistances.

Devotions

Since the build’s base is pretty frail, you need to compensate, taking few defensive devotions. T3 combo of Dying God and Ishtak is pretty good for chaos pets, also Behemoth, Ulo and Dryad to heal the pet master. Fiend proc on Skeletons adds extra AoE damage.

Performance

The build shines in farmable territory, really fun and fast build in buffed Crucible. Can compete without buffs as well, and it’s pretty solid for SR 75-76 farming. It’s not the most suitable pet build for deep realms. Ravager of Flesh isn’t that hard, but you need to swap jewel augments for the ones giving pets bleeding resistances, thanks for the tip @nofika4u. Time isn’t super impressive, due to lack of significant RR shred. Videos:

Build looks great and so does the results, you’ve been posting some sick crucible runs lately!
I would try to add symbol of solael but i figure you skipped it for a reason

Ty!

I saw your pet chaos build using Solael for extra RR, but decided against using them. I don’t like adding extra keys (surprise) and resistances are already tight and with one weapon slot, decided a different approach. Also, you’ve used Siphon Souls conduit for extra chaos RR, which is an interesting way of bypassing one that problem.

The devotion points of this build don’t make sense. Its all off by one point. You seem to use Jackal to get your initial boost of chaos affinity but jackal itself requires at least one point into chaos affinity but you do not invest any point into the the crossroad constellation point that gives one chaos affinity point. None of the other constellations in this build provide that required first chaos affinity point.

I think I figured it out, you use panther to get the needed primordial affinity so the initial point into the primordial crossroad point is unnecessary. This point is most likely supposed to be put into the chaos crossroad point. Let me know if I am wrong…

Don’t remember, but Panther definitely works. Also, you can take chaos affinity, take Jackal, remove chaos affinity and when you have Behemoth, remove Jackal.

When you have a devotion map going all over the place, you need some detours and take devotions only for their affinity and remove them after that.
