I have a huge thing for channeling spells, from FOI that fits the description perfectly to skills like BWC, that aren’t exactly channel spells, but play just like them (holding down a button, stacking speed and getting enough survivability to stand still).
Obviously DEE is like that as well, but it has several problems that make building it, especially acid variant, pretty annoying: it costs so much energy, Deception of Dreeg set that supports the play style nicely lacks speed and it needs the tankiness to survive. Fixing all of those is hard, but not impossible. Here’s what I did!
FEATURES:
- Really fast ugly colored explosions with maxed out DEE, potential 200% cast speed with good rolls and good amount of lifesteal!
- DOG!! It even makes sense to use Deathstalker over other choices, as you can slot in Scorpion Sting devotion to it to make your dog shred DA as well as acid resist!
- Decent amount of procs and respectable 125% resistance reduction!
Alright, so damage is good, speed is capped and survivability is enough, how about energy?
- Coven’s Bane and Rotgut Venom to all weapon and accessory slots
- Prismatic Diamond, Seal of Annihilation and Arcane Spark, fairly typical
- Leveling Spirit 1:1 compared to Physique
That’s literally it. You get so much flat energy regen from those augments and Presence of Virtue that the % based energy regen boost from Spirit is extremely noticeable. You still have 15k Health and 2.8k effective DA, enough for SR30.
I think my Crimson’s Vile Scepter is BiS (they buffed Vulnerability this patch), but other greens are just what I got and am fine with. If you have something like “Of Arcane Winds”, you can probably boost your Physique higher.
