[1.2.1.3] Still experiencing random crashes after new patch

I’m fairly new to the game, and have been enjoying it greatly but I do seem to have a problem with the game randomly crashing on me. Most of the time, I can play for some pretty long stretches before I get a crash, as in an hour or 2 or more. Other times it will crash fairly soon after launch, sometimes even at a loading screen 5 to 15 minutes in.

Also, it seems the longer I play the more performance seems to degrade? When I first launch everything is silky smooth, but on longer sessions the game starts to get laggy/jerky which usually leads to a crash. Sometimes it feels like even rotating the camera in game can trigger a crash. I’ve tried turning down various graphics options but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

System specs are:
Intel® Core™ i5-10300H × 8
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 3050 Ti Laptop GPU

OS is Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS, so I’m running the game through Lutris and have the GOG version of the game. I’ve attached two crash reports from last night, any ideas would be appreciated.

Unfortunately those crash reports do not point to any immediate issues.

If you are experiencing degrading performance leading up to a crash, I would begin with a clean installation of the game, and of your drivers, particularly video drivers.

Also, realized you’re using Linux, which is not officially supported.

Are you using the umu runtime in Lutris, so that you can use Proton? That might potentially help.
You can also try some older Proton version, since I’ve seen online that it can help with Grim Dawn sometimes.
You can check ProtonDB for more info.

Ok, thanks. I’ll probably mess around with some different runners in Lutris first and see if that helps before I do the reinstall. Thank you for taking the time and looking through the crash reports!

I’m actually not, just using a regular wine runner that came with Lutris. I will try that out though, thank you for the heads up!
