Yeah, definitely !
If you are aiming for high tier Blue devos, Vire the Stone Matron is very nice for the added damage proc. With Barthollem’s Gavel you would even have a nice amount of weapon damage to go with it. It’s more defense/retaliation oriented, but so is Obelisk, and I feel Purple/Blue is easier to route for your build than Blue/Yellow, since you are going for elemental damage. In my experience, Vire’s procs like mad.
Also, do consider getting Imp and binding it to the Guardians, especially if you have 5+ of them

Looking good, much better Gavel as well. As for devotions, Viper’s resist reduction and leech only works on attack, which you don’t do. So you could take out Viper, remove the last two nodes of Rhowan’s Crown, and get Hyrian, like this: Archon, Level 89 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator

After playing around a bit with the 2hander build, I have returned to the pistol and shield, it suites my playstyle much better. I dont think the gear has changed much if at all, but I will include the build link for review.
Don’t forget that Kraken will only work if you wield a 2-hander. If you switch to pistol and shield, you might want to swap that out 
ok lets try this again, user error… sorry bout that.
I am interested in getting more regen and mitigation / shield block chance / shield block damage % etc, my recent forays into shattered realms 20-22 on ultimate. I am still working on gear, reputation, etc, so work in progress =)
Im pretty sure ill need to Devotion Jenga to get more of the regen / mitigation things i referenced above, along with gear, reputation thingets, etc.

Huh. There must be a way for you to do it, but I don’t know what it is. People do edit their posts so it can be done.

It has more shield action, a bit more retal, same regen (and it’s missing some pierce resist now).
i picked up one of those Mystic Segarius’ Sacred Blade thingets that gives bonus to Wind Devils for slowing target and lowering their Ele resist. So now to Devotion Jenga out of Hydra and figure out if we are keeping Hyrian.
I do know that i love Giants Blood, forever and always, on every build (Full Behemoth Devotion) you aint prying that outa my cold dead fingers =)
So Devotion Jenga theroy crafting:
Full Behemoth
anything easy to get for health regen, health regen %, max health
anything for shield block chance/ block damage % / any good defensive abilities
anything easy for extra resists
anything that can be proc’d by the EG/WD’s, for life steal
anything that can be proc’d by EG/WD’s for DPS
anything easy for DPS
i “think” that is the way I play and think… but I am always open to suggestions and help from the community, you all are great people and have way more knowledge and experience doing this than I do.

Here is my attempt at Devotion Jenga, using a melee weapon and a shield for the EG/WD build =) Im sure it needs alot of work lol!
Oh I like that amount of regen, but your OA is very low, so not sure your player pets will hit anything… 
yea i dunno what the happy spot is, i DO like putting in Tree of Life. So i guess its spit balling time or gee whiz or whatever:
- Can Giants Blood and Tree of life exist in this build together?
- Which of the 2 is a better option, Shield Maiden or Obelisk of Menhir?
- Does this build need Vire the Stone Matron, or are those points better used elsewhere to up OA for the GE/WD’s?
My brain stopped braining but i think thats a good beginning? Had a bunch of idea’s running around in my head and they all shouted SQUIRREL and now its gone lol.

You could take some points out of Rebuke and resilience and put them into Presence of Virtue for some much needed OA. Putting further points into the Shaman bar will add more stats which will translate into more OA, DA,health, etc… Rebuke does basically nothing for you and resilience might help, but not enough to use those precious points.
Move the points from Scarab to Panther and those in wolverine to Owl (and purple crossroad)
And finally, change your accessory augment for anything that gives you OA ( I used skyshard powder here, but whatever you have access to with your faction reputation)
Should look like this: Archon, Level 98 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Consider also replacing your gun with anything that gives you shaman level and elemental damage.
Edit: Also, replace the corpse dust in your medal for an arcane spark.
