[1.2.1.5] 2h Ulzuin's Avatar Purifier

Hey guys, got another build for your viewing pleasure. Had a ton of fun building this, but I will say that it still feels a little “off” just due to the lack of hardcaps on the primary damage source and its modifier, as well as the choice to go without the -% fire res offered by the Solael’s Witchblade devotion. I may come back and optimize the shit out of it at some point, but for now I’m having a great time balancing Fire Strike being an excellent vehicle for procs with Canister Bomb/Ulzuin’s Chosen’s streaky damage potential. The dopamine hit from an Ulzuin’s Chosen chain is something I haven’t found in any other build to date. Pretty awesome watching high SR nemeses just MELT when the stars align.

Anyway.

According to my own experience, somewhere in the neighborhood of 2850-2900 DA is the breakpoint for avoiding crits (not accounting for debuffs) from nemeses in SR30-31 - based on Grimtools this shouldn’t be necessary, but I’m assuming that I’m overlooking a mechanic where nemeses have access to pieces of gear capable of boosting OA or something along those lines. Maybe an SR modifier I haven’t clocked. Resistances are cutting it pretty close, but with Word up they are very manageable.

Got some awkward-looking gear choices at present - the ring set and Cindertouch probably aren’t necessary, but for a build primarily looking to puke bright colors at enemies they certainly do the job. I’m a bit torn on the relic and belt slots. +1 to all Inquisitor doesn’t make as much sense as Demo here, so those will likely be the first two things I look at when I get around to optimizing, mostly for the sake of hardcapping CB. The roll I got on Aleks’ Chausses is far from optimal, but it’s the best DA roll I’ve found so far.

SR30-31 is fun and smooth. Most situations can be facetanked with a Seal down, just need to watch out for the obvious stuff (Grava’thul in a pack, 2x+ boss with access to both a nuke and sunder, multiple defense layers on CD, etc.). Have not tried Celestials yet, but that’s not really what I’m looking to do with this one.

Thanks for taking a look! I may revisit this soon as it is genuinely the most “pure” fun I’ve had since I started building for ultimate SR. I’d be very interested to hear about your own experience with Ulzuin’s Chosen-focused builds.

Changelog:
Edit 1 - Removed Seal of Might/1 Runebound Topaz in favor of Seal of Resonance/another Bloodied Crystal. Adjusted augments to fix resistances.

Видел похожие сборки с двумя револьверами, правда забыл как они называются. Но в деле очень впечатляюще.

Yes, I’ve seen a few dual wielding builds floating around as well. Dagallon’s in particular looks extremely strong. I have a friend who followed a build guide that used 4 pieces of the Ulzuin’s set with pistols (not sure which set, I’m assuming Barrelsmith’s), which came out looking pretty good too.

Have you managed to try this out against any celestials yet? Interested in the benchmarks.

I believe I’ve downed Ravager? Can’t remember exactly how that went. When I’m finished building my Ritualist I’ll retest against at least Ravager and report back. Guessing it’ll vary a lot depending on how lucky I get with Ulzuin’s Chosen.

Edit: looks like there’s a pretty sick update planned for this set in 1.2.1.6!
