[1.2.1.5] Adele druid: Trozan's Skybreach with cold Devastation (SR34-36, no MI's)

I believe that Trozan’s Skybreach set’s skill description is false advertisement. “…brought down the very heavens”? A single big rock every couple of seconds hardly counts as “heavens”.

To address this lie and make Trozan proud, this build combines Trozan’s Skybreach with cold Devastation conversion from the Conduit of Arcane Whispers and Blizzard devotion skill to maximize the number of icy rocks falling from the sky. This imposes some limitations on the build: no access to The Cataclysm set, no Starfury Emerald, weird devotion path. But the results are solid.

It’s a tanky druid with amazing crowd control and damage. Not quite as effective against bosses, because of their immunity to freeze and the lack of area reduction on Devastation, but still good.

The tankiness mostly comes from 40% CD reduction + Eternity relic to minimize the CD on Mirror of Ereoctes and a ton of defensive devotion procs (5, to be exact). HP and DA are good as well.

An example of SR 34-35 run: https://youtu.be/YABjvl5xPZ8

It can clear 36-37 without deaths, but boss fights get sweaty and require good maneuvering and timing on the mirror.

But where are they?

Seriously tho, you are missing an augment on your off-hand and without Ultos devotion proc you don’t have access to %rr (you are not proccing Viper without weapon damage).

Also 111% casting speed seems really low even if you have just two spells. And regen stack in devotions is not really effective without Golluses and points in Mogdrogen Pact. Also Maelstrom nowadays can be a good supplementary damage source (plus it increases proccing power of Wind Devils.

Got lost somewhere along the way. Oops. :eyes:

Eyes of Anubar have weapon damage portion. I’ll need another skill like chain lightning if I want to proc Ultos, so that’s why I didn’t go for it.

Unless I’m missing something, none of the skills I use will have their DPM affected by casting speed.

Tbf I wasn’t specifically trying to stack regen. The only devotion with regen is Behemoth which I feel is good regardless. Gollus Rings are tempting but both Rings of Anubar are quite important since the conduit itself doesn’t fully convert the aether portion of Devastation to cold.

Fair but it will require moving 15 points from other skills. Not sure if it’s worth it. The devils seem to proc elemental storms fairly consistently even without it. Trozan’s Skybreach has 4 of them so that might be why.

They have 8% weapon damage which means you gonna get 8% of 20% from Viper, so less than 2% rr in total.

Yes, casting frames take time and if your casting speed is low there is a higher chance to get interrupted by some cc and overall feel of the build is much worse. You can experiment with it yourself - trying gloves with casting speed and restless remains in them and then try your gloves with Leather in them.

It’s 80% conversion together with Star Pact.

Here is the best Trozan setup currently, maybe it can give you some ideas. Good luck on your min-maxing quest.

RR from Viper scaling with weapon damage is something I actually wasn’t aware of. Good to know. Btw does it scale up if weapon damage is above 100% or is it 20% reduction at most?

Will try. The gloves I would like to keep but replacing leather with restless remains should be easy.

Forgot that Star Pact has this conversion. I’ll check if I have any good Gollus rings.

I’ll check it out. I am going to at some point make a separate Trozan build with better optimization. This one initially started as a cold devastation/blizzard meme but actually turned out alright.

Thank you for the suggestions

TQfan once calculated that the impact of %rr is in utter most cases negligible.
Due to order of application, IIRC.
Just saying, one should not [how does that saying go - “twist their leg”?] to reach it.

Yeah, it’s really small, but when it’s free you should take it. And by “free” I mean it comes easy for most Elemental builds. Besides %rr Ultos devotion proc is just too massive to skip overall - big damage and a bit of passive leech too.

No, effects like RR, ADCtH, Energy Leech, etc. do not go higher with higher % WD. They cap at 100% WD and are reduced below that accordingly.
