- [Caster] [1.2.1.5] HC SSF Beginner vitality ritualist (Ralfhskz)
- Damage: Vitality, Vitality decay
- Active Skills: Storm totem, ravenous earth, wendigo totem, devouring swarm, siphon souls, call of the grave
Greetings!
As i never fully played this class so much, i decided to build one char from scratch.
The idea was using storm totems + ravenous earth, and it worked really well.
You have a very decent life leech (around 55% without temporary buffs) allowing you to facetank most of game’s content without too much investment, but be warned… this build’s not for the lazy ones, so if you don’t like pressing lots of buttons, skip this one
This char was leveled from scratch, no pre-farmed gear, mandates or any other leveling boosters were used.
Let’s get to the leveling:
Lvl1-10 Shaman, Level 10 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Started as a shaman. Spend initial points on devouring swarm and on the mastery bar. DS can deal damage, life-leech and debuff enemies, so it’s great for the early mob cleaning.
Lvl 10-20 Shaman, Level 20 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
When you get to burrwitch outskirts, look for Narbalgal, a groble hero that spawns near the place you talk to Ulgrim, he has a good chance of dropping our first build’s important item, the Groble sky effigy.
After reaching your first 6 devotion points, complete the bat and bind its proc to storm totem.
Lvl20-30 Ritualist, Level 30 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Max out storm totem and devouring swarm. After this, start spending points on the necromancer’s mastery bar. On devotions, complete the eel then complete behemoth. When you reach deadman’s gulch, be sure to farm a bonespike from the trog mobs on the cave, it will be very useful until we get better items
Lvl 30-40 Ritualist, Level 40 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
As soons as you get to the blood grove, pay a visit to Benevald’s shop, there you will buy another important item, the death-watcher pendant. On devotions, complete the wendigo (bind the proc to storm totem and change the bat proc to ravenous earth)
Lvl 40-50 Ritualist, Level 50 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
On this lvl you should be defeating or already defeated the loghorrean.
After this, rush to ugdenbog to farm another two important items for us, the ugdenbog stormstrife can be farmed from janaxia
If you didn’t manage to drop the basilisk crest from the ugdenbog mobs, pay a visit to vinelton’s shop on ancient grove and buy one. On devotions, complete the lotus and lion. After this i rushed to complete the ashes of malmouth DLC and Forgotten gods DLC (once in forgotten gods exploring, try farming a korvan casque on dungeons.
Lvl 50-60 Ritualist, Level 60 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
I started elite on lvl 54.
Upgrade your gear and cap resistances. Complete the raven and hawk on devotions, and when you complete the Rattosh constelation, spend a point on wind devil on bind rattosh’s proc to it. Complete the abomination’s right side.
At this point you should be getting honored with some factions, so check them and buy their writs to improve the reputation gain.
Lvl 60-70 Ritualist, Level 70 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Not much to be said besides rushing to complete the vanilla campaign and the DLC’s, remember to check reputation with factions, activating monster totems and upgrading gear whenever you can.
Lvl 70-80 Ritualist, Level 80 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
I started ultimate on lvl 71.
Not much to be said, rush to get revered with the main factions and cap resistances/upgrade gear.
Lvl 80-90 Ritualist, Level 90 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
After getting revered with malmouth, don’t forget to buy their potion of clarity, this will help a lot getting to lvl 100.
It’s time to begin our endgame farming. I had two ideas for endgame build with this class. The first thing i did was getting some items that helped me farm the Dark one set.
You already know where to find your weapon (another good option is the Decree of malmout), off-hand, amulet ,head armor (you have the Fettan’s mask as option too) and medal.
I used two Gollus’ rings until i found another good legendary rings. You can find it near homestead
You can use either Solael-sect or Dreeg-sect legguards on pants. I chose dreeg’s for it’s OA boost and stun resist.
Check on your blacksmith if you already learned the trollheart waistguard (if you didn’t learned it yet, you can shop it from benevald’s shop on blood grove), it’s the BiS belt for now because it gives +1 to shaman skills and lightning to vitality conversion.
I used elite harvest grips and elite harvest footpads until i found something better.
On chest armor you can use the elite coven’s lifebinder vestments for now if you didn’t dropped something better yet.
Lvl 94 Ritualist, Level 94 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Now you should be ready for farming !
This time i recorded a video doing the Lokarr’s secret quest where i began the set farming
Dark One’s spec
Ritualist, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.3) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Some video proof after reaching lvl100 and using dark one’s set:
Rashalga + kuba fight
Kra’vall
Gargabol (Ancient grove full run + kuba fight)
Morgoneth (ToTH full run)
Korvaak
Theodin Marcell
SR26
After some days of RNG, i came up with a different spec
Some video proof with the Valguur’s set:
Avatar of mogdrogen
SR26 run
What now? Well, i’m pretty sure there’s lots of much better endgame builds for this class/gameplay on the forum, the goal here was take a char from scratch and make it a monster! Since there’s no jack of all trades on this game, i’m sure this char is at least a nice way to start your gaming and training your skills if you’re new on the game.
Thank you.
