[1.2.1.5] Thor, but not an Avenger | Melee+Ranged Druid | 11k-Regen | Ravager 1:09 | Callagadra 1:32 | HC Viable (SWITCH BUG JUST GOT FIXED!)

This is on this one

The green gun doesn’t have that and I have no clue why that would be faster. Could be the savagery bonus? It does increase wd, flat lightning, and total bonus %.

Wait, I thought you knew the 15% because you manually computed the WD yields of +4 Savagery bonus. How did you know it was roughly 15%?

Edit: OHHH lmao I get it now, you were talking abt the crossbow’s +15% WD to Savagery!

Edit2: Yes, the 15.38% bonus WD is from the Savagery upgrade from level 20 to 24.

Yeah sorry I was confused initially about what ranged weapon you were using. What a coincidence (or maybe not!) that the +4 savagery results in about the same amount of extra damage as the WD bonus on the xbow

Given the build’s +400 DA from high uptime Arcane Will (albeit having subpar total DA without it and Judicator’s buff), which Augments would you rather have?

  • +16% HP from 4 Wendigo’s Life Essence
  • +8% HP, +300 HP, +32 DA from 2 WLE & 2 Solael’s Bloodbinding
  • +600 HP, +64 DA from 4 SB
  • +300 HP, +92 DA from 2 SB & 2 Dreeg’s Omen

“whichever results in the highest final HP”, assuming base DA is fine so it’s not getting crushed with AW on cd

hello , i have a question if i may ?
so im still kinda new to the game , reached the endgame several times tho but nowhere near ur knowledge of the game tho

and im just looking for a ranged aoe blaster with great tankines like giga regen and i came across ur giga chad build and leveling it atm .

so my question is since im not a big fan of melee , is there an alternative 2h ranged to level with till i reach ugdenbog ? ty

also will the leveling guid im following atm reach some kind of regen tankiness later till i swap to urs ? or i just can follow any leveling guide ? ur opinion pls and ty

also since u know already what kind of build im looking for , a ranged tank with good aoe like ps and giga hp regen tank , ur opinion if this the build for me or a suggestion for another , ty

Nothing comparable, but you can just use any green gun with lightning damage on it. Should work fine, even if it’s not as amazing as the sparkthrower.

If you side with Kymon’s Chosen in act 3, you can buy a lightning crossbow off them, but by the time you get enough faction rep to buy it you may be too high level already, and by the time you have enough rep for the improved version you probably have Sparkthrowers already. So I’d just keep looking for random guns.

Oh, and you can also swap weapons. Equip the storm halberd in slot one, a gun in slot 2, and you can blast away at mobs but switch to the higher damage halberd when you meet a boss or something. Works very well with a primal strike druid.

The linked guide does not seem to use regen so probably not. The levelling guide is quite old, and regen is much stronger now. And Gollus rings are easier to farm than when it was written. So it makes sense to focus much more on regen to have an easy time in the campaign, i.m.o.

If you want to be tanky you should grab a couple of Gollus rings from act 3, a pair of Dreeg sect pants in the hidden path area outside Devil’s Crossing, and put points in the Mogdrogen’s Pact line. You can also add some grave dust components to your rings, hallowed ground in your chest and a Mark of the Traveller or Mogdrogen’s Mark to your boots. Antivenom salves also help regen. And random equipment with the “Mending” or “Dranghoul” or “Nature’s Bounty” affixes.

You should also use the devotion path this build uses, as it is good for regen and should work fine.

That should super-charge your regen to the point where you can face-tank almost anything in the campaign. And if not, you can just dodge and run for a few seconds to get your health back.

But don’t neglect armour, armour absorption and normal resistances either. If the choice is between having properly capped (important) resistances and having another 200 regen, take the resistances.

simple and straightforward answer , thanks for taking the time to respond
now i know where im heading

You’re welcome!

Except ignore the bit I said about taking the second node in savagery. If you’re following the leveling build, that one uses Primal Strike and not Savagery, so it won’t help you. I’ve removed it from my post above.

(Later when you switch to this build the second Savagery node does help regen a lot.)
