When the host reads lore notes the client does not get the notification or the experience for them. The other way around works and even nets the host exp if he already read the note himself before. I can reproduce this reliably.
This is not a bug.

It is intended that the host get twice the exp from lore notes when playing with a client reading them after him and the client sometimes missing out on lore note exp when the host picks them up and reads them? Why would it not be the same behavior for client and host?
Edit: And if this is not a bug could it be up for debate to change it? This currently forces players in a coop setting to ensure that the host isnt the one to pick up and read the note, which is fairly weird since players are already partied up and expected to cooperate or not? This only applies to lectern-type lore notes though which drop multiple for each player.
