[1.2.1.6] - 'Ation Sorceress - SR36, Ravager, Calla

Finally I gave in… this toon is my first try with properly using green items in a build. Please note that this one again is a very THEME based concept. (ultimate purple haze wizard goes wild)

Although this is not why this one was very interesting for me. I wanted to build around Obliteration which in itself brings trouble. This is a chanelling item skill, which obviously does not have skill modifiers, has mediocre damage output but most importantly NO ADCtH option at all! Yes, this build has 0% ADCtH. So with this one I had to really think out of my usual design patterns.

  1. Staying alive
I decided to go with high health regen with as many healing devo procs as I can. I guess I haven’t got other options. Just check that devo setup. Staying alive in this way really hindered my access to offensive devotions.

  2. Damage
Obliteration was given but I looked for a second damage skill, preferably AOE to supplement Obliteration’s mediocre damage output. I found that Devastation would be a perfect fit. It is AOE, big damage, and Ascendant Hood makes it perfect both usage and visuals wise.

But how this will work? I decided to go for extreme OA and CDR hoarding. This one has 40%+ CDR and around 3900 OA. The idea was to make obliteration go brrr and preferably crit a lot as % damage is not an option if we want to stay alive. Devastation has +50% crit from hood so that synergises well here. CDR also ensure that our devo procs which are keeping us alive do their work.

This setup in GT is very defensive.

Let’s see the results:
SR30 and Ravager was recorded with min Phys max Spirit. SR36 was recorded with max Phys min Spirit.

SR30

SR36 - Suprisingly for me, this toon can do 36 with realtive ease.

Super Bosses:

This list is quite short as I haven’t got a save with AoM alive, but I think this could handle it well.

Ravager of Flesh 1:36 This is a decent kill in my book.

Callagadra - Finally figured out how to tackle this. Just change relic to Eternity and add some regen+da augments. This recording was done as well with full defensive attribute allocation, which might not be necessary with the new defensive augments.

All in all I had fun doing something completely different in every aspect of designing as I usually do. I think the result looks and plays awesome.

As always, constructive criticism is welcome.

Happy Gaming!

First look. If you want more safety/damage balance, get rid of Quill+Tsunami, and get full Behemoth, Lion, Wraith, and Crown’s proc. 32 flat rr, ~300 heath regen, ~100 armor, and +5% phys res in cost of 6 crit dmg,~30% ele dmg, ~10 DA, and ~60 OA.

Does it make sense to have both?

About dropping Tsunami: I think that one does quite substantial damage as it goes off very frequently with this high cdr and attached to obliteration. I would keep it.

Yes, if you still want Acrane Bomb on Devastation.

The same, but with Tsunami + full Tree: Sorcerer, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
