[1.2.1.6] Cold Thermite Mines Saboteur, Conduit

[Melee] [1.2.1.6] Cold Thermite Mines Saboteur (Minciuna)

* Damage: Cold, Frostburn
* Active Skills: Thermite Mines (main), Fire Strike (support)

Hello everyone, today I want to show you a Cold Thermite mine build, in my eyes this skill was always supportive, just to reduce the enemy resistances, but after noticing the conduit modification, I decided to give it a shot.

This is the performance of the build:

Nemesis:

Moosilauke 32s
Valdaran 17s
Grava’Thul 20s
Benn’Jahr 19s
Cubacabra 1m10s
Kaisan 20s

Dungeons:

Aldritch 39s
Alkamos 18s
Shar’Zul 13s
Gargabol 26s
Morgoneth 40s

Celestials Superbosses:

Lokarr 23s
Mogdrogen 3m30s
Ravageer 5m

Well, I was a bit disappointed to realize that the Thermite Mines do not ‘attack’ the enemy, it’s a unit with an Aura which damages the enemy, visually it looks like once every 1 second.

As result, the modifier which increases the number of mines does not increase the damage directly, it increases its Area of Effect.

Additionally, because its an aura, it does not scale with Attack speed or Casting speed, so we are sort of stuck with Flat damage and %damage bonuses as the only way to increase the DPS of Thermite Mines.

I decided to mix in some Fire Strike to somewhat increase the character’s DPS.

Edit: forgot to place component into gloves, used Consecrating Wrappings for extra Attack speed.

I could not fit everything into one post due to new user limitations, had to place comments

image Thoughts?

Congrats on your first build. A couple remarks: The gloves are missing a component. Your overcaps are really high, but you still use augments to boost them even further, drop them down to ~30% each and swap the augments for health or DA. Swapping bloodied crystals for runebound topaz would mean you could drop one seal of resonance, with crafting bonus of +%stun res from the Malmoth blacksmith you could swap out both, as your freeze res is high enough. Also your gloves already support Grenado pretty well and you’re at +7 there atm, if you manage to scrounge together the points somewhere you could think of including that into your skill line-up for some more damage.
