I present Cyclone Blazerush Elementalist

  1. Original Edition :
I developed this build of elementalist with the goal of beating all 3 superbosses with no-MI, no-pharma doping, and no-kiting, but unfortunately Mogdrozen can only be defeated by kiting.

  1. Enhanced Edition : Starting from game version 1.2.1.3, it became impossible to defeat Callagadra. Therefore, to prevent my hero from being retired, I carved out time from my busy schedule to revive him by changing his devotion, components, and skills.

Additionally, it is now possible to reach higher SR levels than what was achievable in the original edition. Furthermore, Blizzard was added in Devotion, creating a visual spectacle where Blizzard and Meteor attacks occur simultaneously with fireballs/storm/lightning attacks.

  1. Final Edition :

By investing significantly more skill points into FlashBang and Temper, I drastically reduced enemy DA while substantially increasing my own DA, achieving a considerable performance boost.

Now, my hero is not just a character for variety shows that boasts only visual effects; He possesses primal power capable of taking down Callagadra and Ravager of Flesh in 1 minute and 45 seconds, while also boasting more dazzling visual effects than most casters. To be specific, the Blizzard constellation introduced in the Enhanced Edition is still maintained (i.e., sacrificing performance to preserve visual effects), creating a visual spectacle where Blizzard and Meteor attacks occur simultaneously with fireballs/storm/lightning attacks.

So, I recommend my hero to, both those who insist on Casters solely for flashy visuals, and those who insist on Warriors for the thrill of delivering a physical lesson to enemies with a club.

Thank you for congratulating me on my longevity.

I’m celebrating the longevity of my characters. Honestly, with the big changes to physical resist in 1.2.1.0, I thought I’d have trouble with the longevity of my physical resist-based superboss killers, but I’m very happy to report that they’ve gotten stronger.

Rare achievement in the very difficult Elementalist .@@

Thank you  for your compliments. I painstakingly made this build, but it falls a bit short of my expectations. In particular, it falls short of my expectations for Mogdrogen and SR 80+… :disappointed_relieved:

Well, it seems the physical damage in SR80+ didn’t get hit as much with the nerf hammer from my handful of runs in deep SR with builds that could and couldn’t handle it in 1.2.0.5 So low armour, PR or DA can lead to squishiness still.

But you managed Cally and Ravager despite the weaknesses so frankly you did fluffing brilliantly.

Thanks for your advice.

It seems that there are not many builds of Elementalist. Is it because users find it difficult to develop with Elementalist? Or is it because Elementalist is not powerful enough?
I started from almost ground zero, so this build took a lot of time to develop.

I’ll take your points into account and try to improve it a bit more. I hope many users will participate in the development of the Elementalist build.

Oh Ch’thon - dredging up my memories - main issue with Elementalist is usually other combos work better for the 2 main damage types, namely fire and lightning. And then there’s survivability/defence.

Although Elementalists can and have been disgustingly powerful in past patches (Upheaval, Primal Strike melee builds), main issue is usually down to lack of health and DA due to a lack of gear that supports both masteries more effectively. Dragging down their performance in end game stuff.

Also doesn’t help Demo’s lack any WPS’s, which are vital in increasing overall dps output with melee or ranged attacks.

Though take my take with a grain of salt, for a) I haven’t had a coffee yet and b) my memory’s a bit garbage and c) mad_lee will have “opinions” if I don’t put a disclaimer that I’m not an “expert” lol.

Probably not just mad_lee, but almost all players and builders are very busy testing and modifying their characters to make sure they survive this big 1.2.1 patch.

Congrats! Nice one again.

Welcome back Dantioch~, it’s been a while, good to see you.

What kind of builds are you working on these days, just playing?

Druid incoming in a few days. The fact that wind devils became perma summons pushed me to complete a long long due item on my GD bucket list. This elementalist and my druid have a few things in common.

You seem to like characters with rather flashy skills… I look forward to your work.

it’s interesting that blizzard is worth with just 25-30% cold conversion  - i wonder if the dmg is actually significant or it’s the 6% hp node providing a big(gest) impact. (since otherwise if just dmg seems like magi or imp would be overall higher dmg proc)

Blizzard is almost pure entertainment for visual pleasure  . Investing four points in Sailor, Revenant, Ghoul, Imp, Hawk, etc., offers significant advantages in performance and defense. Nevertheless, it was a peculiar mindset: if high performance couldn’t be achieved with this build anyway, why not invest those 4 points for the game’s fundamental purpose—enjoyment? Currently, the final edition capable of defeating Ravager of Flesh and Callagadra in roughly 1 min 45 sec is nearly complete, yet even in this final edition, Blizzard remains preserved for visual enjoyment

then i like the reason & choice even better :ok_hand:  :+1:

i first put blizzard on mines for “max” dot potential, then opted to put it on Upheaval for fun (since overlap crit trigger +less overall button press requirement), and devils on meteor for that actual dot, , and it does indeed look awesome when all the fire and frost rocks are falling at the same time

I appreciate you understanding my weird mindset. In the final version, I removed Blizzard and invested elsewhere, but then fiery blazes just flew everywhere, hurting my eyes and making the game unfun. So, I decided to keep Blizzard in the final version too.

Also, I’m currently developing a Spellbinder whose performance I’ve somewhat verified, but I don’t have the necessary belt. Mythical Cord of Violent Decay. If you happen to have one in your collection, I’d appreciate it if you could attach it to this comment at your convenience.

Got the belt. Much appreciated. I spent two hours wandering through the dungeon looking for this… My Spellbinder will thank you too.

By investing significantly more skill points into FlashBang and Temper, I drastically reduced enemy DA while substantially increasing my own DA, achieving a considerable performance boost. Now releasing the Final Edition.
