[1.2.1.6] Physical AAR Battlemage, Ravager, Callagadra, SR 42+

Hmmn, not bad, but you need to reduce investment in Spirit and put those points all into Cunning, which heavily increases OA and Physical Damage%

Energy regen can be helped by using a Prismatic Diamond in the head slot and swapping out the ring components for a Soul Shard and Mark of Illusions. And this is my adjustment of you build:

Massive increase in OA, slight decrease in health and all resists covered

Build looks pretty good for higher SR runs. Curious what was the highest you went? Also I agree you should put more attribute points into cunning for that damage bonus

I’m playing hardcore and I’ve never had the guts to push beyond SR 37 with this build. All I can say is it does that comfortably

Huh, I didn’t think that it would be able to sustain energy when fighting bosses 1v1 with less spirit, but I tested and it seems to be just barely enough. Thanks for the advice!

Interesting way you have built it but I think in SR you will very soon start to run into DPS issues. You don’t have minus armor from Bear, no RR on relic + damage to humans, DPS is lower by not having AAR gloves and lower cunning… I sometimes build first iterations of my builds by going too much into one stat and you have done that here with health. Also you don’t have Crab, Turtle and converted Scales and they are awesome procs. Lower freeze res will cause you issues with Moosi. But your way is definitely cheaper on the available items. Mine is quite expensive.

Also I am not sure about Tree of Life here…

I made one as well. Almost an SR 40 build…

I optimized skill points in your Binder and it should give you more DPS and survivability overall and Arcane Will boosts energy regen also. And switch restless remains to spelwoven threads on the gloves. I didn’t look too much at components but some optimization could be made there as well. I also changed devos slightly.

The biggest problem with your build are the rings (change it to RR rings and balance the rest of the build then) and OFF is just good on trash where you really don’t need it anyway…

Chur, but I’ve started running SR (up to 20 as of today) and OFF is actually pretty solid to make use of, as it’s rr gets applied particularly to the more annoying tanky enemies like the hulks and abominations and shreds their ability to resist physical damage. It also briefly applies to bosses, resulting in some excellent burst damage.

Oh and at 6/14 investment it also trash clears like crazy and it’s DoT allows it to be used to proc devotions. Current status is this:

Need to stress test the devotion bindings in SR34-35, but first I need to finish off the campaign to get all the +skill points I’m missing.

As for the devotion change, nah, Sands has actually got some utility due to the fact it helps make up for this build’s lacklustre DA with it’s OA shred. As for the rings - after puzzling it over in GT unfortunately the rings are a must, since there’s no AAR support on Krieg’s set, thus the +2 they give to AAR is needed to get it hardcapped for max damage.

And unfortunately I need Krieg’s set for it’s flat -28 RR skill it gives for the 4/4 set bonus. Otherwise I’d use the AAR gloves already :stuck_out_tongue: Aim with this was to get a good mix of damage + defence. But now I’m starting to think Necro needs a bit of physical damage support added to Spectral Binding or even a skill modifier that does that.

No surprise yours got to SR40 though :stuck_out_tongue: Since you’ve got more damage, AAR can shine more, where as mine relies on fun with procs for a big chunk of damage. Though Maul bound to AAR is hilarious, since it’s constantly proccing and shredding anything in melee range :3 But yeah, in terms of highest possible Phys AAR Battlemage appears to be the best option at present.

I made a topic about it recently…

And with phys RR Shaman would be quite good as well…

I know, we asked Zantai if this is an intended interaction and he kinda confirmed it. Not sure when it was added tho. By the way, not just Maul, but also Wendigo.
