Can’t help it but it seems my GD addiction kicked in with the rainy weather. Back on the Shining Path so this one is a no green.
This is my first crosbow build ever and just to make it even more interesting I decided that I will try to build a Tactician because as I see this class need some care from the community. Also we all know from history what we can expect when military teams up with a religion related judicial body → Good vibes.
Today’s star guests are the Mythical Silverbolt and the Goredrinker set. This is a very simple pierce cadence crit build supported with good damage reduction from Horn of Gandarr and with this I felt that Inquisitor Seal (which I generally don’t like as a skill because it dictates me where to stand) has a meaningful and stylish place in the setup.
I am not really used to this 2h ranged playstyle so it was exciting to explore its ins and outs.
GRIMTOOLS craft with slow res
For greens Gutworm’s Mark is a nobrainer with any prefix/suffix.
Let’s see the results:
SR30
SR36
Celestials
Avatar of Mogdrogen 1:20
Ravager of Flesh 1:19
Callagadra 2:17 - 2h ranged against calla lolxd… here I adjusted a little for more armor/health and DA mainly with Titan on chest and rearranged some points to Vigor.
I won’t say that this is my best or strongest build so far, but I think I made the lights shine on Tactician a little today.
You created an outstanding MI piece just the other day, yet you’re releasing a new no-MI piece this quickly? Amazing.
Also, it seems like you’re not doing any additional refinement work on your no-MI pieces. If you revisit your works after some time has passed, you might discover significant improvements…
Hah, looks very similar to my tactician with this weapon. Interesting that you didn’t go for Hydra.
I do think your WPS can be better. You probably have a little too much and not all of them are optimal for Cadence, though I forgot the details.
It absolutely tears through Chthonic enemies very fun build imho.
Revisiting my builds is not among my plans for the near future. Seems that for me the building journey is from idea to the post here in the forum. Maybe this will change with time.
Can I take a look? I found only one silverbolt tactician on GT and that one is ancient and cold.
Well yes, these are just fillers between the cadence hits. I just wanted 100% wps chance because it is better to have one procced then not. What do you have in mind?
26/22/22 on cadence option is available on the no green version as well. I think getting +~100% pierce damage and some bleed on cadence for 8 points not worth it.
Horn is mandatory for higher level SR and superbosses. At least 12.
Bladetwister replacement with Blackwatch is kind of mandatory if you change legs as we want max cadence, but giving up on a -10%rr, attack speed and ele->pierce conversion is something I would lament on.
Min arcane empowerment hinders damage a lot, although trading it for word of renewal nodes makes sense for a more chilled out experience.
Gutworm is a nobrainer. Just get one. Any will do.
Devo setup is interesting. 37 ADCtH is no joke. But if we have this high sustain why invest so much on word of reneval line? Also ADCtH scales super well with RR so this would push me towards Bladetwister even more.
Theoretically, if you are lucky to find Gutworm medal with +2 to Cadence, you could even drop Mythical Hellforged Legplates and put Mythical Mageguard Legguards instead.
Maybe it’s worth maxing Vigor instead of Word of Renewal.
Wow, I did not know that there is an ongoing discussion on this idea.
About the “fast charging cadence WPS” topic. I thought that this is just applicable for DW when the WPS triggers both weapons and thus counts as 2 cadence charges. Is it a thing in case of 2H ranged as well? How does this works here?
And again I learned something new that DR is additive(?). For some reason I thought that the highest applies…
edit:
Tested quickly the WPS topic:
Zolhan’s Technique and Chilling rounds add 2 to the Cadence charge.
Bursting round, Storm spread and Markovian’s Advantage adds 1 charge.
I haven’t even paid attention to this as I thought that this only applies for DW. Good to know that it works for 2h as well. Although in this case if we allocate 1 point for all the wps skills we have a 104% WPS pool. If we don’t want to spend more on WPS I think this is the best 1-1-1-1-1 setup for max damage. If we decide to invest more points Zolhan should take priority as it’s chance to be used scales more with the same amount of points added compared to Chilling rounds.
In my thread I also had that and even the lucky bullet ring, but I ended up with mainly zolhan, chilling rounds, and the plunderer’s relic with markovian on top for the DA shred iirc.
The one thing I’m least happy about with my build is triggering living shadows. I’ve got it on the horn, but it’s far from ideal. I don’t remember if I tried any of the wps.
highest applies
similar as other %reduced/flat effects like we know from RR
small addendum to the interaction (not that i disagree with your assessment/build overview)
while zolhan would scale tiny bit better % wps wise, chillrounds overall scales better fastcharge wise, chillround can fastCadence both on single target and multi target, zolhan will only fast charge based on targets struck with passthrough(so not at all if 1v1 fight)
1-1-1-1 setup indeed allows you much more point spread elsewhere for build/stat benefits
