Thx for u build, dont drop it and update for future ![]()
Made an account just to say thank you, Uncle_Mac. This was my 2nd character ever, and it worked perfectly. Easy, straightforward, minimal farming needed. Using nearly exactly the setup you provided, managed to:
- Complete campaign on Ultimate effortlessly
- Clear Skeleton key dungeons and Totems super easily
- Kill all Nemeses
- Celestials: Bourbon and Lokarr on Ultimate with no special setup needed; Mog, Ravager, Callagadra on Normal. Got whooped by them on Ulti
- Get to SR shard 32 with no deaths, could probably go further
Really impressed. Thanks a ton!
Nice! Glad to hear it worked out for you.
Also, welcome to the forum. ![]()
Ditto to the above. Enjoyed the lazy brigade build on HC. Farming optimal gear was fairly straightforward probably because of affix bias – with the exception of the ascendant cowl. That sucker is a royal pain because for every cowl that drops you have to have the obligatory hood or two plus tons of sources and conduits (which are both available at vendor anyway wtf?). Got aetherial vanguard to nemesis status only farming this one item. The bound wraith is pretty easy because Ugdall in northern Ugdenbog is guaranteed to drop that or enslaved wraith - so 50% chance of a guaranteed drop with affix bias. Build eats Kuba alive. Haven’t gotten Kaizen yet but that is the one I am worried about. He killed by last skeleton build because he seems to completely ignore the pets and goes straight for the character every time. Will soon find out on this guy because Eldritch Horrors are almost to nemesis because farming celestial totems. Thanks again for updating this build!
I killed him several times using the lazy spec and he was shredded in under 15 seconds on average. As long as you stay out of range of his shards (the big green crystal summons) you should be fine. They do life reduction + DA shred.
Extra defensive considerations for HC: Prismatic Diamond in helm (flat absorb proc), silvercore bolts in your off hand (5% reduced Eldritch damage). Runebound topazes (health, DA, stun res). Pop an aether cluster as last resort.
You can craft a Mythical Divinesteel chest if you have the blueprint. More phys res + health and it’s an aura so it extends to the pets. Points can be pulled from Ground Slam and Rotting fumes to cover the loss from the Coven chest.
Just got him. Boy I don’t know. No pets killed but character had to run around constantly to avoid Kaisen who came after the player exclusively. Try to avoid the green crystals but they do indeed linger. But the green lightning is also bad news wiping out a third of hitpoints. A very uncomfortable fight compared to Moosi or Kuba. I have to say the Kaisen fight was uncomfortable even compared to Lokarr. Lokarr would kill the pets so that had to be accounted for. But when the pets were there he could be counted on to aggro them. Not so at all with Kaisen. Here is my character. Very nice SSF and following your excellent guide. Thanks again for this – really enjoyable. Just have to get the hang of Kaisen I guess.
Kaisan does head straight for you but he also gets hung up on the pets easily because of his size. It’s hard to describe in writing but I kind of stutter step away from him and let the pets disrupt his pathing.
Anyways, nice work your character looks good! Always glad to hear when it works out.

For everyone’s information - if you update your beginner build, feel free to PM me about this.
This way the build’s game version in the compendium is incremented and the build is placed earlier on the list as a consequence which makes it way more popular.
Great Beginner Build.
I tried it. From the scratch. With fresh account. Could kill lokkar with it. Easy. GG.
Great!
Looking at your character and the other one posted, I think it’s pretty easy to hit ~ 1400% pet damage now without a single legendary which is kinda busted.
(don’t tell zantai)
Updated to latest. We got a few buffs on the Shaman side of the house. Increased armor and small DA buff through Oak Skin. Devouring Swarm got a scaling buff but the damage doesn’t matter that much here.
On the Necro side, Ill Omen spread mechanics were changed but it shouldn’t be a big deal.
Happy hunting!
Just want to tell you that your build is awesome!
Here’s my build (copying your build, of course) :
Glad your’re enjoying it. FYI, you’ve got some skill points you can redistribute. 9 points overcap on Raise Skeletons.
You can also take 2 points out of Undead Legion. You hit the max 7 summon limit at level 20. Level 22 just gives you 0.4 cooldown so it’s not very useful. Good luck!
Whoa I totally forgot about that.
Thank you for the reminder.
Hey, been looking at this.
I think siding with Kymon would help with farming the amulet.
The only downside is the need to play as Shaman until then.
Final augments don’t include Vigil’s so not much help there.
Thoughts?
you can buy the amulet, no need to kill farm it’s easy to vendor fish, but yes technically siding with kymon lets you get more from drops too
Technically yes though I’ve got to say that Benevald is THE most infuriating vendor in the game.
why? he’s the easiest to reset ![]()
(also give you the most glods for your items
) ![]()
yeah. Simple to reset - just port back and forth to Sorrow’s Bastion. And then get a grand total of 1 or 2 (if lucky) new items in the reset. And don’t even get me going on the blueprint choices that reset (one or zero).
just do the stash trick for insta reset
and all items are new in a reset, it’s just rng whether you get similar ones
as for blueprints, benevald is inherently bad for that because he can only spawn with 1 blueprint at a time outside the fixed skeleton key, and he has every non legend blueprint under the moon in his pool, so you don’t wanna use him for that
For regular MI resets he’s great because of pure speed, even if he has lower chance for double rares vs dungeon vendors (but those are slower to reset too from running)
