From the myriads of new set introduced in FoA, one caught my eye as being potentially really fun. The Stormfang set, which adds elemental dot to judgment and onslaught stacks to WoA (+ Devastation projectiles but that’s not the focus here ).
The idea of this build is very simple: Channel WoA for the onslaught stacks and then cast judgment for giga frostburn damage. We also have high effective OA with some DA shred, ~67% crit dmg and battle surge for the health restore, among other things.
The thing is though, while the numbers here look quite nice, I don’t have a good reference for what makes a good dot build. I’ve only ever played AA builds and the occasional caster, so I’m more than open for suggestions. Also, this thing has practically no lifesteal with 40% wdmg on both skills so we are relying on battle surge to keep us alive. Technically we can take behemoth + harvestman’s scythe and go full regen but I like chariot a lot sooo… Already done
Isnt it worth it to stretch a bit out and take “Elemental Seeker”?
Or even with some swapping going for Arcane Currents, from Attak Seru?
Seems juicy to me. I like the one point in Wereraven for the crit% and Form of the Beast activation.
Build looks solid at first glance.
(Could swap the MIs having one rare just for being comfy)
Leviathan >> Armatok always, also removed all the ascended fantasy stuff, sanity checked the affixes, augments etc and shifted skill points around as Wereraven was missing Everwinter which gives it a big source of %cold and frostburn.
It’ll probably require considerable tweaking once it hits SR30-31, for I can foresee issues with energy regen and maybe survivability. But otherwise it should be good enough. Now.
