A question:
Am I correctly understanding that the new version will be incompatible with the (offline) season 7 league? And if I want to keep playing the league mod, will it be enough to set Steam to offline mod, or do I need to jump through more hoops?

You have to do something in order to opt into the 1.3 playtest.
It’s only when 1.3 goes live that yoy’d need to be concerned.
So no need to put Steam into offline mode.
Hopefully by the time 1.3 goes live the modders will have updated their mods.
I don’t know if this mod works in 1.3 playtest or not.
It currently (still) does not work with 1.3 playtest, but as a side effect of preparing a future S8 for post Fangs of Asterkarn release we will have a 1.3 version of S7 ready soon.
