1 - x% Life reduced on weapons mechanics

Hi guys, I found a good boneblade of annihilation with "1-16% (or so) reduced enemy life) Can anybody confirm if this effect is applied on A) All spells B) Spells with a % weapon damage component or C) I need to auto attack or melee to get this benefit.

I’ve done some testing (ravenous earth specifically) and my initial impression is that it does work on spells but it could be my imagination and wishful thinking.

Seeing that doombolt has a %life reduction component to it, I’d assume that any attack can proc it. However, it may have the same mechanics as ADCTH.

% life reduction is applied with weapon damage. Also worth noting a good way to tell if an enemy is highly resistant to the effect is to ask yourself if the enemy has enough health for % life reduction to be effective? If it does, then the enemy will be nearly immune to % life reduction. (This is why you don’t see doombolt everywhere)

Thanks for correcting my misinformation silben.

I didn’t know about that mechanic.

EDIT - so if I used %life reduction with say cadence, would I apply 500% the listed value?

I don’t know for certain but I imagine it doesn’t scale above 100% weapon damage like ADCtH, Resist Reduction, Energy Leech too i think etc…

Well that answers that… Thanks for the quick replies my good people.

I agree, it’s only good against player and little bit against hordes of trash mobs in Crucible when you use Bloody Pox. But overall, not a very effective mechanic.
