2-h physical Forcewave Witchblade - "The Unstoppable Force" (Gladiator crucible farmer)

It’s just for extra offensive power, since defence seemed OK to me even without Menhir’s Bastion (and i dont need pierce res much). You can use Menhir’s Bastion or Oleron’s Wrath.

OK ill use menhir´s till I drop Doom… could be in 1 day, or in 1 year… lol…

Before I updated the build my damage was 64.000, and now it says I only do 12.000 but I kill all quickly, is this a Grim Dawn Bugg?.. I have to refresh my stats in any way?..

You probably look at Blitz’s DPS (in my setup, it’s something like 17k).
You should look only at Forcewave’s DPS! For that, mouseover DPS number is your character’s sheet, and it will show DPS for RMB skill too. Or set Forcewave to LMB temporary.

oh, ok, thanks so much…

Awesome build dude, I love forcewave as a skill.
I’m currently playing a similar, but less tanky, Pyromancer build using 2H FireStrike and Obsidian juggernaut for Obsidian Tremor. Currently level 88 working though Ultimate but have over 70k base DPS while covering all the other usual HP/Resistance bases. Need reduced stun though, that’s my current weak spot, I need a couple of Thunderstruck or Of Kings MI’s to replace my boots/pants/chest…

Have you tested to see if you can animation cancel Cadence with Forcewave? It works with Obsidian tremor/Firestrike allowing for seeming capped attack/cast speed while I actually only have like 120-130% on both.

Not sure about what you’re talking about. Can you explain better, please?

Sorry sure, so on my build I have firestrike bound to LMB and Obsidian Tremor to RMB. If I click them at a consistent half second interval like 1,2,1,2 it allows me to attack continuously at twice the speed while also providing awesome AOE and single target damage. Hopefully that makes sense…

It’s probably because Fire Strike is an ATTACK, and Obsidian Tremor is a SPELL. You cant use 2 attacks or 2 speels this way, so you’re limited to 2 skills, 1 attack and 1 spell.

Correct, which is why I believe this same strategy should work for a Cadence/FW combination. Say you used Mythical Archblade of Archanor and Cadence Transmuter on a Tactician for converted elemental version, but wasn’t sure if this same tactic would work here or if you’d tried.

Never used (or better say - abused?) this tactics, actually. I prefer to spend spare points for Possession, skill disruption resistance feels so good!

Yeah that’s fair, looking at it Cadence and FW are both super expensive so you end up losing a lot of variety trying to spec for both… Guess that’s the plus of my FW being an item skill…

I only want to say, ¡¡¡ SO NICE BUILD !!!, I probed 3 different builds in malmouth at level 100 and this is awesome… Really thanks so much for share…

at what gear point would be good to start this build? My legit account I have found x2 mythical weapon already, (28% cs) and have gloves/boots. I also have mythical leviathan i also have an ammy that converts forcewave into fire which would be terrible for this but possibly good for a fire forcewave commando? I only have 2 characters for this legit account but one is a L60 commando, perhaps I could convert that to fire forcewave?

Or i could just roll a new char, only a few days to get through norm/partial elite

Well, you probably wont be able to have superior DPS without numerous skill bonuses provided by belt, medal, helm, chest, shoulders and amulet - but it still should be strong. I can show you how i started in AoM:
http://www.grimtools.com/calc/M2gW1yK2
Crafted myself a somewhat decent weapon, used mostly non-mythical items, and still, it was strong enough for farming Challenger. And farming Challenger, i was able to obtain better gear.
I advice you to follow the same way. Build a character able to farm Challenger, at least (you dont need massive resist overcaps for that, even, as you essentially get +25 to all resistances in Challenger, compared to Gladiator). You can also skip Skill Disruption resist for Challenger. And then, farm itto improve your gear. Skill bonuses to Forcewave will significantly improve your DPS, so i strong advice to use some gear with that bonuses. I already wrote decent alternatives for every slot, my build isnt pigeonholed into specific items - you can always find a replacement for missing BiS item you dont have yet.

About fire forcewave - tried that too, with Commando. I should say, what it feels just like a much weaker version of physical forcewave, no more. Maybe, it would be better with Sharzul’s Worldeater and all BiS items, but i dont have it, and i miss some BiS items too. But if the build is so weak without few BiS, i cant call it really strong. After all, my physical forcewave build was relatively powerful even without many great gear pieces.

yeah I thought as much, its just I don’t have peerless eye but do have forcewave fire ammy and a spare SF legit L60 commando who was going to be double blitz but he needs better gear.

I’m currently maining a SF legit Jajaja lightning Warder build as its pretty light on needed items, can easily farm ultimate dungeons already or very quick aspirant runs, don’t want to try challenger until I know its worth it, don’t want to die.

Finding Aspirant to be like 4 times or more faster farming than ultimate bastion and get MI’s to boot, its pretty ridiculous.

Sounds like I still need some better items like belt/relic/ammy/medal to really begin. I’ll continue farming.

You dont need Peerless Eye of Beronath for my build. Avenger of Cairn is BiS (mythical or not).

As i said, you can do this build even without great items, just dont expext too much from it. I got all my gear myself, with farming. For thisbuild, i used some old non-mythical legendaries first (and crafted rare weapon), and them farmed all other gear pieces.
I will never enlist items, that are near-impossible to obtain, such as double-rare MI’s, or even rare+magic MI with fixed affix combination - those are just too hard to obtain, a player might farm GD for years, and never get one.

Amazing guide on original post, well made!

Could someone post a devotion route? I’m having a hard time finding how to get to the final set up.
