Twin Falls hive is more efficient, generally speaking.
About Crucible - 150-170 waves are significantly harder than all previous ones. I’d say that 150-170 waves on Challenger can be even more difficult that 130-150 on Gladiator.
And rewards for 130-150 and 150-170 waves are almost the same :(.
Your build has inspired me. I noticed I had most of the gear you had, with a couple exceptions and a mace and shield Tactition I didn’t enjoy playing. I’m currently trying to rework it to be very much the same as yours, unfortunately without CoF. OA is the struggle right now, but I just got it over 2800. DPS is only 68K (up to 80K with procs is what I’ve seen). Is the Witch Blade version doing a lot better on that? I also just realized I might have some -physical resist debuffs in Inquisitor. I need to check that out. This is what I have so far: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/DV9r6mlZ
I ended up with a bonus 12% physical resist to word of renewal. The crazy thing is I think the character might be tankier than my shield version of her.
Edit: Crazy. I tried her with extra spawns on Gladiator, and it got to 150 without losing the bonus, and it’s my first character to manage extra spawns on gladiator at all. It might not be exactly your build, but it works as Tactition, with a couple modifications.
I’m L70 now going easy, but just wondering I can already do 130-150 x4 chest opening on aspirant in 25mins with main character, Can this build do challenger x3 chest open in similar time?
Would it be better for just keep farming aspirant?
Depending on how many pieces of gear you are missing, you may need to farm for dozens of hours before getting half of the gear.
Just pick the spots you prefer (quick search the forums, there are plenty of “what is the best place to farm” posts), you can’t only farm the Hive in Twin Fall anyway if you are not a robot or you’ll just lose your mind.
To enhance both your phys dmg and internal trauma maxed: Field commend, Break morale. Replaced Posession with Oleron (more OA too - yes you are squishyer but kill faster, that is also increased survivability), Internal Trauma, you can then get rend to lvl 12 or more.
Also i’m not sure why you ent to the left side of devos. You aren’t chaos damage dealer :). Get Rhowan’s scepter at least. You will no longer need dying god for OA after you get oleron exclusive
OP uses Possession in crucible to be more taky and avoid skill interruption. But I assume you are playing campaign now so have fun and get oleron;). With some life steal, war cry and resists, you will be fine
Ok so I’m a touch confused. The devotions taken are exactly what you recommend in your guide on page 1. Now you say you aren’t sure why people would head to the left? Am I missing something important here?
Well, as i already said, Oleron is a nice devotion, but requires too much affinity, that will be wasted on several useless devotions (just to get that damn 20 Ascendant points). Also, you dont have any good ability for Blind Fury, except Forcewave itself, but then, you wont proc Assassin’s Mark often.
I’ve seen a Tactitian 2-h Forcewave build, with Oleron devotion. That build can use Blind Fury with Inquisitor’s Seal, at least…
For my Withchblade, Oleron is a waste, believe me. Sure, campain content is weak, and you can crush it even with far from optimal setup…But does it mean you should intentionally do it?
Hey @mortalkombat I am having trouble getting the devotions. I took what I needed to get to some things but seemed to have screwed myself somehow and now can’t unlearn Hawk which i chose for requirements for others you have without unlearning like 3 others. Any tips on the proper path for these?
I wanted to be a bit more offensive. I believe, it offers a fair trade. If you want to be a bit tankier - invest all points into physique, if you want to have even higher DPS - invest more into cunning. It depends on your playstyle and personal prefference.
Just dont invest too much into cunning, you should be able to wear the heaviest armour anyway, you know :).
Thanks for the build man. Only bought the game 2 months ago, but this is the first char that can FARM 100-150 gladiator and not just finish it. Also somewhat easy to gear, with at least 2 alternatives for most slots. 150-170 is a little bit of a struggle. Still managed to finish it on Challenger with some running around
Not even gonna try it on Gladiator because i’m still missing 2 pieces of Octavius and the non-m handguards. If anybody can help with those, i pay whatever you need
Though sheet DPS is misleading. It doesnt takes into account that physical damage is much more powerful than other damage types, that you have very high crit multiplier, that you have a lot of RR, that you have trauma DoTs, or that you deal more damage to certain enemy types, etc.
Not even saying about immunity to fumble, massive resist to skill disruptions, slows, stuns, freezes, etc.
And “solid” isnt the proper word for my build, i should say. It’s the BEST build i’ve ever played in GD! I tried many others, and all of them were in best case significantly weaker and/or squishier.
I clear 100-150 Gladiator without problems, as well as 150-170 Challenger (though it requires kiting sometimes). All with extra spawns, of course.
Not completely deathless, i admit, but it’s Crucible, after all. Sometimes RNG there can make real surprizes.
But even with almost best gear setup, i still get crushed with 150-170 waves in Gladiator. Usually, by 160 wave. Maybe, i’m not skillfull enough, or just get too used to play recklessly… In theory, i believe it’s possible to beat 150-170 Gladiator with my build, if mods wont be too hard. But it will be rather a victory of skill and luck, and you wont be able to farm it. Gladly, farming 150-170 Gladiator waves isnt worth it anyway - you get almost the same reward as for 130-150 waves, and you even have to waste more tributes for that, lol (costs for starting/resetting 170 wave are just INSANE)!
I wouldn’t exactly say it’s the best. There are like 20 builds so far that can farm 150-170. But it’s definitely the easiest to play AND to gear. I would recommend it to any beginner. Another char i’m currently playing is a triple meteor sorc and while the potential is huge (kiting dot tank with insane dps), the gear required is crazy (4 or 5 MIs and double rares).
It’s definitely possible. I finished challenger 2 times so far (not worth farming it like you said) and while the damage of some of those waves is insane, some running around waiting for cooldowns (especially those 2.5 sec for break morale) can make a big difference. Also the positioning is crucial for this build. You can’t just stay in the middle of 2 Kubas and hope to survive. I like Crucible of the Sands for this. There are many ways to block the mobs on that map.
Of course this was only on Challenger, but i’m still missing those 10% phys resist from Octavius, the amulet and a little more dps.
