currently i have my wader with a 2 hand weapon and im currently level 50 just got to the boc part of the game and my damage is barely hurting them and i died fairly easy. do i not have good enough gear to reach this part yet? if anyone could help that would be awesome.
i have a feeling the gear i have is pretty crappy… if anyone has any extra gear or a way to farm better gear ? please help.
i was told that the relic eye of storm would be very helpful. but im only in veteran difficulty and i die ALOT. please help thanks!
I would get Wendigo Totem to 12/12 and drop some points in Feral Hunger, that should solve all your problems. Keep Totem at a multiple of 3, those are the break points for the next %increase to healing. Also, I find Primal Strike is a more effective leveling skill until you hit Ultimate - everything on the screen pretty much melts. If you use this, Feral Hunger won’t proc of of it, only Savagery. PS is much better at thinning crowds quickly - mobs dying faster means less swarming and fewer hits on you.
On your devotions I wouldn’t recommend Tsunami, lackluster for the point investment. Go for Kraken and then Widow/Arcane Bomb, it is a great debuff and you can tie it to Savagery which will cause it to proc frequently. Kraken is a must for a 2H’er, I always rush it. I recommend Rhowan’s Crown as well, more resist reduction. Start working up solider mastery for Field Command and other goodies - soldier mastery is a wealth of good skills.
Make sure your weapon has physical converted to lightning, if that is what you are going for. Try to keep your resistances maxed and get some physical resist as icing on the cake, when you can. You should be able to get some good faction gear at your level once you have reputation up. I generally farm everyone to Honored before entering Elite so I can use all the gear/augments.
You could invest more in Heart of the Wild to increase your Max HP and wear gear with flat HP bonuses. You meet the requirements for the Behemoth constellation, get it, or at least the ability Giant’s Blood. MoridinB is right, Wendigo Totem is sweet. You could also invest more points in the Soldier mastery because it will give you HP and stats both of which are really useful.
How are your resistances? Also, I can check what items I am hoarding if you want them. I will likely never use most of them.
You are making a common mistake of wanting to use your end game skills in Normal. You can’t always do that and have a good char. In this chase, you are using Savagery, which only shines once you get bonuses/abilities that use weapon damage effectively. Also, it’s skill-point hungry.
Also, your devotion is all over the place. You will not use Tsunami or Tempest in the end game, and they are not particularly good in the early game, so no point in getting them at all. On the other hand, Kraken is the best early game damage boost and the reason why every char should use 2-hnaders in the early game. Pick up all of the shrines (check the wiki for locations), there are 27 of them in Normal.
As for items, hit the faction shops. Rovers have awesome gloves and boots, Kymon’s has good hat and shoulders, Homestead has a good 2-handed hammer (it doesn’t matter that it does fire damage). All you need now is some good blue rings with attack speed (there are tons of them) or Cronley’s signets of Alacrity/Rifthound and an amulet with +1 (Shaman or all) skills. Eye of the Storm is lvl 70, you are way off from that, use any relic with attack speed and offensive ability bonuses.
