2hPrimalStrike Elementalist Faction choices?

Can anyone save me a some poor choices.
Typical i use offhand ranged for trash mobs while running by and then for elites i swap to melee.

Im in warly lwveling phase still just didnt want to pick back factions and restart the grind for no reason other than lack of experience.

Thanks.

Faction choices dont really matter in terms of end builds

Okay, thanks.

You can choose one faction on Normal/Veteran, check out their vendor and see what gear they sell, and if there’s nothing for your build you can ignore their quests and stop farming reputation.
And once you switch to the next difficulty, you can choose the other faction instead.

The only downside is you have to farm rep a little bit longer since you missed out on the previous difficulty, but if you do all the faction’s quests you should become Revered on Ultimate at the latest.
Just make sure to buy a Writ from the faction vendor once you reached Honored rep, that’ll increase your rep gain by 50%.

That’s not entirely true. Some items only drop from certain bosses that only spawn when choosing one faction over the other. For example, the Death’s Whisper Hood only drops from Master Ravok, who only spawns if you go against the Order and side with Kymon’s Chosen.
Same goes for The Outcast (the witch Anasteria’s faction) and Barrowholm, going against them gives access to bosses that drop certain items which won’t be available if you befriend them.

You can also obtain these items in SR, no matter which faction you picked. As in this case these items imo are not relevant for tje OP’s request, I didn’t mention this

Unless i’m remembering it wrong, i don’t think you can get the Skybreaker Circlet and Death Whisper Hood from SR. Same for Anasteria and her legendary helm and MI pants.

There’s also specific augments that are only obtainable from specific factions. So, yes, faction choices DO matter.

You definitely can get them from SRr; Anasteria MIs not at all.

Sure, but if your build needs these items you’re always better off with selecting the appropriate faction so you can target-farm them. Hoping that one day they will drop in SR (and also have the affixes you want) seems rather inefficient. So yeah, depending on the build, faction choices do matter.

In case of 2H Primalstrike Elementalist, I don’t think the choice between Kymon and Order matters too much, as their faction vendor gear and augments are mostly going to be obsolete at some point and I don’t think the build would need any of their farmable items.
As for the Outcast, their vendor stuff isn’t too great for endgame either and may even be redundant if you also own AoM and FG.
As for Barrowholm, they got some really good weapon augments but I guess it depends on the damage type of the build if you want them or not. They also have the 15% bleed res augment which can really help some builds out.

I wasn’t arguing that point; merely pointing out that they do indeed drop from SR.
