No. There are already more than 55 shrines in the game as it is now. Nothing is going to change about the cap.
No the devotion cap stays at 55. You just need to unlock 60 shrines for the archievement. 
You basically spoiled an achievement for people who don’t want to know any spoilers by this thread.
We have 72 shrines, but the old achv was for 55, the same as the cap. I just wanted to clarify if they changed their minds about the cap. This 60 achv is at least suspect.
We actually have 73 currently: 33 Normal and 20 each in Elite and Ultimate. This will change when FG drops. Ultimate will have the most, Elite less and Normal even less.

And that is the other thing that comes with these tokens. In Forgotten Gods we are not only enabling every single shrine that is in the world on every difficulty in the game, we’re going to be adding new shrines to the world in places you haven’t before had shrines. And that means, if you go straight to Ultimate difficulty you will be able to get all 55 devotion points in one single playthrough. On top of that, with the upcoming patch we will be buffing the bonuses from Warrants, from Mandates and Writs so you can get your reputations up faster on your alts than ever before."
If you don’t want spoilers then you shouldn’t be in this forum period. Or going on Steam to look at your achievements, since they’re there.
So, if someone doesn’t know how to play or doesn’t know how to build, they should not come here? Weird, I thought this forum is mainly to help other players who have problems with the game by any means, be it building a character, finding a bug etc.
This means, 90% of us can leave this forum and never come here again because it is only about spoiling. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think you’re wrong by your statement. This forum is mainly about helping other people, be it Crate (bugs), experience people having issues with something (Secret Quest for example), or new people.
There is a Bug Reporting folder for this. There’s a folder to bring your questions about builds, classes, etc. There is even a folder called Guides and Tutorials with tons of knowledge shared by experienced players from beginner’s levelling to endgame content breakdown.
I posted this on Gameplay Discussion because if the cap changes to 60 it will change major aspects of the gameplay. If the cap changed to 60 it would be even better if new players saw experienced ones discussing it. I don’t see how this post can damage anyone’s experience in the game, even if it is a spoiler.
