a) when an item says it has, for example, +19% poison damage, does that mean added overall dmg or augmented abilities? Do I need a poison dmg for it to factor in?
b) can you respec devotion points?
c) at the end of normal mode, will my character “reset”, allowing me to continue at its’ current level but with unused skill points, attributes and devotion points?
d) i’m blindly leveling a Soldier/Shaman, any tips for someone who wants to discover the build paths without grimcalc? Anything to avoid? Something crucial to keep in mind?
e) can i dismantle rares?
f) prefix/suffix, can someone explain the general guidelines for these when choosing whether to swap in a new item?
A- Everything that you use that deals poison damage will deal an extra 19% poison damage.
B- Yes
C- You will unlock Elite and you can continue playing the game there (It’s basically going through the game again but it’s more difficult and the enemies will reach a higher level). Everything you have will carry over (items, skills, attribute points and devotion points)
E- Yes, you can dismantle rares.
The other two better be answered by someone with more knowledge.
A: You need flat damage of type X in order for +% damage to apply.
B: At the spirit guide. It costs an aether crystal per point. Nemesis enemies drop a potion that respecs them all.
C: No, your character will not reset. You continue to the next difficulties with the character and equipment that completed the previous difficulty.
D: Wendigo Totem.
E: You can dismantle rares but it doesn’t give you anything worthwhile.
F: This is too complex to give you a simple answer. Add things that improve your character in some way. You’l have to learn to look at the character sheet to see what you need. Health, resists, and damage.
it depends on what you wanna build and how much you pray with RNGesus
(you can also craft/farm items but to get the correct prefix/suffix you want for you build takes a shit load of time… I can tell, I have done it)
FYI; you can’t get a prefix/suffix on a legendary from a drop, but you CAN get it if you get a blueprint in which you can craft a legendary item (but only 1 affix on that item type) example legendary Eye of domination(currently the only legendary in which you can get a affix on it when crafting, I know there is the badge of mastery)
here you can see which affixes you can get on this weapon both the prefix and suffix can apply on this weapon, but to get the correct ones you need will take a huge amount of components to craft it.
also keep in mind that you can get 2 types of affixes on your gear: magical and or rare affix
