I was wondering if anyone has come up with a “Hunter” type build. What I mean by hunter is ranged attack with a pet or two, for the main campaign. If anyone has, would you share your builds and experience’s with them, with me.
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t recommend this kind of build if u are inexperienced to the game… hybrid builds in general are weaker than a pure pet or pure ranged build.
This is a type of mastery I’d like to see someday. Hunter specialized in range, traps and pets.
Well, you can always do a nightblade combo that utilizes pets that scale with players. Nightblade + Inquistor would give you range support, traps (blade trap, runes), and pet (nemesis from relic, blade spirits).
This.
Your best bet would be a standard Pierce/Cold user with the Nemesis relic or Acid/Bleeding/Physical with the Deathstalker relic. Deathstalker is better due to having RR.
I would say that Shaman-based ranged character is as close to Hunter from TQ as possible: it has Briarthorn if you want pet, it has Savagery, Grasping Vines to slow down your enemies.
2nd Mastery could be Soldier or Arcanist or Occultist depending on your preferences.
The build could concentrate around Avenger/Bloodrager set + Mythical Gutripper + you could use Briarthorn for his Emboldening Presence.
That’s TQ hunter mastery…
In GD you have Gutripper builds. You won’t see Bows in GD
It’s from more than just Titan Quest. Also, I never said a bow was required. A crossbow/rifle works just fine. Traps don’t have to be your standard flame, frost, spiked trap either. In an apocalyptic sense there can be interesting ideas, hell an old refrigerator could fall over a mobs head and stun them for all I care.
In a sense it would be interesting, but the Nightblade pet idea is a good suggestion as is.
Definitely Gutripper. Had a blast with it on my Warder hunting down bosses and nemeses.
Here’s my build.
You could also go for the reaper devotion to get pets that scale with the player. They don’t do too much, but it’s fun to see them running around doing their thing as you do your own stuff. They scale with vitality/aether damage though, so they won’t be useful unless you also build around at least one of those damage types.
hunter mastery canfirmed!
I am trying one now, with an old hero build I started in pre-alpha and since then I just tweak her every now and then. Occultist/Demolitionist, was originally pet build, now I am tweaking her for the Harbringer set so mostly chaos/fire ranged damage, and I realized the Hellhound’s Hellfire aura could be useful if I keep the pet on defensive so it stays near me. Did not experiment much yet with the build, but as she is level 54 and only few points in the pet, so far it dies too often.
I just got the Deathstalker relic for my poison/bleed dualwield Blademaster, so I wonder how well the kitty will work. Checking on a target dummy, the damage he does is ridiculously low compared to what my character does, but what I am curious is the HP, as mostly I just want the pet around for the pretty awesome aura that lowers poison/bleed resistances. Supposedly the kitty is bound to scale with player, not pet bonuses, so I assume that means any +% damage type I have applies to him too?
