A Lurker From the Depths...

Hello,

I’ll try to keep this short. Quite recently, I’ve become hooked on games loot finding games,Torchlight, Borderlands and now Diablo 3 (though I am feeling rumblings of discontent there) and on my search for greater loot games, stumbled across Grim Dawn.

I’ll be straight, the kickstarter vid for funds was awesome and I could sense a deep passion for this game from Arthur Bruno, something that seems to have disappeared in more and more AAA titles. I was absolutely gutted I missed the kickstarter, but pre-ordered the Loyalist version as soon as I could. This game is something I deeply want to help support.

To say I am impressed by what I have seen and what I have heard, at this ‘pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha’ stage is simply a massive understatement; I love the look of the game and the ‘Lonely Moon’ track is a thing of beauty.

Ok so that isn’t much of an introduction about me, but at least you know I lurk, love loot games and ramble off at a tangent when I do chip in. I’m what you call a ‘repressed hardcore’ player; I play casually but give me a rewarding game and I’ll dive in so deep, when I come up I’ll reek of the blood of my elite enemies.

Grim Dawn feels like it will be that type of game. I’m ecstatic to be an early part of it.

Thank you for reading, I look forward to lurking in your midst!!!

PS I suck at keeping things short!

Atrumvehor,

A pleasure to read your introduction, I found the the Kickstarter video heartening and inspirational - welcome to the forums.

Hi fellow lurker. it was great of you to sign in here, we always like new company. see you around!

Thank you for the welcome Koovan and Executioneer. I look forward to being a part of this passionate community.

I agree Koovan, the kickstarter video was just monumental, it wasn’t the most polished vid ever but it was pure and its occasional roughness made it all the more honest; no cliched voice over, no sappy PR person going “Yeah this game is gonna rock, is awesome, buy it now, even though it is the same as last year…” Just one man talking honestly about his passion. You nailed it, it was inspirational.
