Long time lover of ARPGs, and Titan Quest (which I’m still playing) in particular is in my mind the only worthy successor to D2 so far (DS2 was pretty good though). I’m expecting Grim Dawn to similarly be the only worthy successor to D3 (but then again Blizzard tend to **** up the simplest things these days). Hopefully these $48 will go a tiny part of the way towards making that come true.
yep, those are really the only arpgs worth mentioning in my book, too. nowadays grim dawn seems pretty much out of competition though - diablo 3 has no skilltree/skillpoint allocation system to speak of and torchlight 2’s classes are said to be more distinct but it remains to be seen how much they improved upon its predecessor in that regard. oh and btw, did i already say welcome?

I agree that D3 seems to be more of a pure action game than an arpg. I’ll still play it though.
