I’ve been shuffling through in-game notes recently, while prepping for a tabletop RPG I was gonna run in the setting of Grim Dawn. There seems to be a rather critical contradiction in some documents regarding the geographical position of Erulan’s capital.
The notes in question are “Trevor’s Note” and “Peacekeeper Chambre’s Journal” from Darkvale on one hand, and “Cratch Moore’s Order” from Ugdenbog on the other. While the first two imply that the capital lies somewhere north of Darkvale pass, the last one states that the capital is actually elsewhere in the south. The quotes from the first two read:
Here’s a quote from Cratch Moore’s Order:
So which one of these has the right information? Just thought I’d let you guys know. Not sure if this belongs in this subforum or in the bugreport.
No contradiction, they all say the capital is to the north. The third note says that the refugee made his way southward all the way from the capital - which therefore is to the north.
Oh. That might explain it. I was probably confused by the previous sentence which said they’ve seen people from further south than Devil’s Crossing, so it seemed just right to read the next sentence as if he came from the capital, which was “all the way south”. I feel like a moron now ‘_’
@StrUktO, if I ever grow confident enough to run my campaigns in English I’ll let you know
