A question about attack damage converted to health

I’m using the bat devotion wich as 3% of attack damage converted to health. As I get it 3% of the physical damage dealth by Bone harvest will heal my character.

But if I choose Harvester of Death it convert 100% of physical damage of cold damage. So despite Bone harvest beeing a weapon based skill, will I loose my life leech tied to the skill if I chose to convert all of its damage to cold ?

ADCTH isn’t based on Physical Damage at all. It’s a health-return based on your Weapon Damage. This means it can only activate off of skills that have Weapon Damage, and the amount you’ll receive is modified by that Weapon Damage (up to a cap of 100%).

So, for Bone Harvest, which has over 100% Weapon Damage, 3% of the damage the skill deals that comes from your Weapon Damage (hover over the skill to see how much that is) will be returned to you as health. If Bone Harvest had 50% Weapon Damage, you’d get a 1.5% return. But remember, the efficiency here is capped at 100%.

This changes a bit with skills that innately have ADCTH; for instance, Bat’s proc, Twin Fangs, has ADCTH innate to the skill. In that instance, all of the damage that the skill does, not just that which comes from Weapon Damage, will heal you.
