About Retaliation and Reflection

So i have some questions regarding Retaliation and Reflection since i’m tinkering with it. I made a build and it’s pretty damn effective but recently i’m having some doubts regarding this topic

  1. Does OA effect Retaliation and Reflection?

  2. Does RR effect Retaliation and Reflection?

  3. The Blocking through shield part occurs after the hit passes through your DA correct? So if your DA is high then on Block abilities are almost useless

  4. If my DA is high and Valdaran’s RR bolt “misses” me but if i have 100+ reflection then does it still get reflected back to him?

  5. Can anasteria’s RR “miss” you if you have high DA? Same for other things, anything that has zero damage like CoF (some undead) or VoS (Fabius) can these things miss you if your DA is high enough?

  1. It does not sadly. But having DA on the low side will make enemies crit themselves as they crit you via reflection

  2. Not sure. The Masochism build posted here uses pleaguebearer’s master spellblade and seems to do something for it.

  3. By high DA you mean like 2600? Shield is still good even then. Retaliators will need shield especially in places like crucible but it’s not impossible i guess with big regen (though you lose the overguard %regen which is substantial)

  4. Not sure. Best not to have way over 2300 DA for reflection build and The best way to kill Valdaran is to stand away from him anyway

  1. But if i have something like Counter-Strike or Vengeance (Granted by Relic) then my OA will have an effect right?

  2. I remember that being posted a while back. I am not a fan of fevered rage so nothing there can help me.

  3. No i meant block skills like- Stone Form which trigger by %chance on block.
    My original question was that does Block occur after passing through our DA value or not?

  4. Umm, not exactly there are other ways to kill him. Like standing next to him :stuck_out_tongue:

  2. Has anyone killed The Three Stooges of Valbury using retaliation or reflection?
