In case this slipped under people’s radars, here’s the news on the matter.
The question here is… Should we be worried? Is FF going to be intact?

I see no reason why it would have any type of affect, positive or negative, on any developer making a game in Unity. Unity is the one making the purchase of IronSource, not the other way around. Thus they remain the ones calling the shots.
They spent well over a billion last year and early this year purchasing two other companies. So, just another day, just another year for them. Nothing to see here.
Most the hubbub is, of course, about a malware problem that occurred with IronSources InstallCore installer, which seemingly was discontinued. My guess is that Unity isn’t doing anything with that - and it appears they concluded that the problem with it came from “bad actors” anyway.
Anyway, looks to me that it’s just the internet being angry because its the internet. Everyone gets their turn. They’ll kick up some dust for a week or so and then move on the next fuckup.
