Hello! I’m really new here, just picked the game up from Steam for $6.99. Best suggestion Steam has ever given me. I love ARPG’s, and I was tired of playing Diablo 3 and Path of Exile. I jumped into playing Grim Dawn without doing any research… WHEN I SAW SHAMAN WAS A CLASS CHOICE… OMG I can’t explain the way I squealed!!! :heart_eyes: I LOVE playing the Shaman Archetype. I blew through the first playthrough and immediately bought the 1st expansion (because after SHAMAN class, I love to play a GUNSLINGER). The class progression, the constellations, the LORE… just absolutely LOVE it ALL! Slaughtering hordes of enemies at a few seconds is just so dang SATISFYING :relieved:

I know I’m a couple years late or so, but better late than never. I know I’m gonna buy the Forgotten God’s expansion when I finish Malmouth. And I hope this game is still going strong in 2023.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying it. Just remember that you could have Shaman AND Inquisitor both to make your class. GD is a dual mastery makes your class game so you can mix and match in many different ways. And each class can be played in several different ways too.

Don’t wait till finishing AoM before you get FG. GD expansions updated the whole game, not just added new areas. Playing without FG, you’re missing out on a bunch of new mechanics like movement runes and a lot of drops, devotions, etc, that are relevant throughout the whole game not just in the specific FG areas.

You arent late. Grim Dawn was nice at the start, but far from what it is now.

My only complain ATM is that we dont really need an Elite difficulty anymore, just completing all content in Veteran already gives you high enough level and gear to face Ultimate. Though you only have to do it once, as you can simply buy a ticket for your twinks and ignore Elite altogether.
