1.A new dungeon has been added to the open world of Fort Ikon. Entry requires a Skeleton Key, and the dungeon contains many Monster Totems!
2.Players can select the drop rate of equipment types at the Ascension Altar!
These changes will better amplify the effectiveness of Ascension Altars across the open world. Adding a new dungeon to raise the drop rate of legendary gear removes the need to hunt for totems everywhere. Totems do not show icons on the open-world maps, and their spawns are random. As more gear is introduced, legendary items have become increasingly difficult to farm. We can increase the drop rate for specific equipment slots at Ascension Altars to deliver an improved loot-farming experience!
From the initial announcement thread.
We need a dungeon that assists players and lets them obtain Ascension Altar buffs, helping them farm their desired equipment more efficiently. Is development being carried out following this line of thinking? We look forward to it.
Isn’t meta content something the developers always tried to avoid? If you add a specialized dungeon, there is no reason to go anywhere else. Totem Farming isn’t exactly a science. There are guides to it and it’s easy even without following them, by just studying the totem groups in GT and planning a path.
Bringing more Efficiency to the point you always go to the same place, isn’t a very good gameplay experience in my opinion, and is what so many games get wrong.
It is reasonable to invest some materials for modest extra rewards. Single-player games should offer this satisfying sense of strategic planning — this is what makes the game more enjoyable, just as the core intent behind Ascension Altars. Hunting totems all over the open world simply drags players back into the tedious grind of map traversal. Furthermore, entering the dungeon requires materials, much like re-rolling gear also consumes resources. These resources are not unlimited. The change only helps players acquire equipment more smoothly and reduces negative gameplay feedback.
Going to a single dungeon to find totems would be incredibly tedious. “Efficient” in the worst sense of the word. If I am understanding you correctly then I think this is a terrible idea.
But perhaps there is a translation problem and you are proposing something different.
