Add -Chaos Resist to Curse of Frailty

I was reading a Chaos caster build based on AAR and noticed all these concessions he had to make owing to the fact C’thonians resist Chaos damage a ton. I’m aware Hellfire Mine exists, but not every build needs or wants that. Since CoF already lowers Vitality resists and they’re often paired together, is there a compelling reason not to add Chaos to it as well?

Aether does not have a debuff in any mastery

I think that the main reason why there isn’t much chaos resistance debuffs is probably because not many monsters really are resistant to chaos anyway throughout the game.

I am against a universal debuff curse. It cannot be dodged, cannot be reduced, and now it has to affect all the possible resistances? What next? A one-click one-kill universal skill? Debuffs should be spread over several skills to push players to choices and look for the best synergies for their builds.

The War Cry, Bloody Pox, Veil of Shadow, Flash Freeze etc also are valid candidates for additionnal debuffs.

Bad idea, curse is good the way it is.

The thing is though is that no one in their right mind late game is going to rely on Curse of Frailty solely for their resist reduction. It doesn’t provide enough by itself, and for the damage types it does support, you can pick up equal or more amounts from other sources (except for bleed. Can’t find any reliable sources with 50% or higher elsewhere).

This

Why waste time on trifles, let’s add that to the CoF RR to pierce, chaos and aether, well, why not? What else did we forget? Oh, and RR to freezing, of course. And the skill will become completely broken.

CoF now balances on the thin line between op and not op (even with all nerf), if he starts to also RR to chaos - he’s just become op, that’s all.
