Conclusion: Since there have been no objections to this post, I believe that this information is completely justified and can be approved by the community for transmission to the developers.
You can’t craft affixes on Legendary items the same way you can for “regular” items, so asking for the recipe to have both an Ice Nova proc and an Earthquake proc and have it 50/50 which proc you’ll end up crafting isn’t an option.
What you see on the Grimtools for these pants is what you get. The only difference is that you can add an 8-10% additional bonus (stun, freeze or slow bonuses are common crafting bonuses to seek) depending on which blacksmith you choose to craft with.
Emmm… WHAT?! NOT ALL AFFIXES! Only 1 with chance 1/3. LOL!
This pants not have recipe for crafting, only loot. What I’m trying to say is that this item needs a recipe and the addition of new unique affixes, the item is unfinished.
You’d be very surprised how at how often the skill procs considering the type of gameplay these pants support. Most of the time playing SR and Cruci, loads of enemies swarm you giving ample opportunities to proc it.
I wouldnt as these pants support cold skaters very nicely especially paired with items like Alkamos Warsword. Taking it away would make an already meme build worse supported
Conduits are specialty items that give item skill modfiers to make them fit niche/meme builds. They are some of the very few legendary items that have affixes bc Crate designed them that way. Kind of comparing apples to oranges
I’m surprised this item only has a cold damage affix, especially since it’s suitable for both physical (Oathkeeper or Demolitionist).
Yes! For cold build affix good, but not for phys. I think the item should have a recipe so that when crafting it would be possible to get an affix for physical damage (50/50 chance).
For specialty items prefix is too good in this pants. The problem is that there are no more legendary pants for Vire’s Might, even Rare. And when you don’t have a cold up, the frost nova is out of place.
If you want a to play a specific damage type, typically it is good advice to convert as much flat damage to the type you want to play. Case in point, Mythical Beronath, Reforged is a decent way to convert it and any extra elemental damage floating around
I could use these pants, but I want the legendary ones, especially with those affixes.
Especially since they even have the “earthquake” affix built into them with a 10% chance.
I use a spear! Frenzied Steward’s Halberd of Ruin (Not added to the database yet)
If you search in Grim Tools item data base for the spear it will only ever show the base stats/implicits for that Item. The same is for every other item that has affixes
Anyway, I think adding the ability to obtain the “earthquake” affix through a recipe or through loot is a good option to justify the presence of prefixes to skill bonuses.
My mistake, I assumed Rimestone was one of those items that had a recipe associated with it. Here is what I’m referring to:
You can craft Mythical Arcane Harmony Leggings, but you can’t give it affixes or change the proc from Elemental Blast to anything else.
The conduits you linked are the only ones who work in the way you described. No other Legendary equipment has affixes similar to those of the conduits.
I wasn’t giving build advice. I’m telling you that even if Mythical Rimestone Legguards came with a recipe, you wouldn’t be able to give it an Earthquake proc or something different from what the official proc is. Crafting in Grim Dawn simply doesn’t work that way.
A proc like that of “Squalls” affix can only be crafted on Green, Yellow or White equipment. Green crafting equipment like this: Dreeg Venomspine Girdle - Items - Grim Dawn Item Database also has a limitation that you can only give the item a prefix or a suffix, not both of them.
