Will be claiming this space like my personal diary in playing the game in Hardcore and will be updating this time to time as I progress through my characters. The end goal is 100% HC completion; so I will be playing with that in mind

for now pure retaliation and PBAoE;
Started out very slow due to single target clears for most part of the game. Once Hound and Wolverine got developed progress just excalated (not to mention that pieces of Perdition dropped for me along the way) Read that you shouldnt try doing SoT till 47 or Higher, managed to clear until SoT 3 @ lvl 42 so I guess I’m on the right track. For the most part I don’t really have a problem taking damage except from Act 3 C’thon summoners; anyone know why that is? Im pretty sure I made my overall resists balanced and Im still at n00b mode.
[EDIT]: Did my first 2 SoT 1-5 (including Room of Death); result: 2 Legendaries and some nifty Empowered Epics; some of which benefit Retaliation Warders a lot.
Pretty much did everything my Warder did except 2 devotion shrines in Act 1-3 (SoT and East Marsh). Accomplished most in less time and with very minimal skill point investment.
Granted Skills from Amber (empowered lightning nova), Cold Steel (icicle); synergizing with Star Pact, with Devil Touched Ammo (Demon’s Breath) for high resist baddies pretty much carried to rush Devastation and invest in Soldier Tree to max Veterancy and Military Conditioning.
Im gonna have to level this up more and re gear to balance resists so I can start SoT Farming as well for levels and loot. Having experienced it on my warder; theres only a couple of spots I found problematic:
Reflect Boss Spawn - I got a nasty habbit to instictively cast devastation whenever is see a hero.(I should stop this )
Agro Control - for a game that has some really f’d up kiting mechs and random agro behavior; some semblance of this need to happen
Room of Death in Floor 4 = death of this toon. I don’t think my current devastation even with Dreg debuff can 100 > 0 a boss spawn. Since the room fills fast and no space to kite; being locked there with 3 heroes per wave is impossible
I have a feeling Alkamos will one shot my toon during his Shadow Strike
Why don’t you put all your components in a tab of the shared stash? It’s so weird to be to have that stuff taking up space in your bag, especially on a HC character who could die and leave you without tons of useful things.
@Yawgmoth: My shared stash is already full with low level epics and useful dual greens I farmed on my Warder. Since I’m playing multiple toon I need to collect all I can atm, given I’m fairly new to the game. I really hope someone makes a Vault app like what we had for Titan Quest before. Would be a big help for hoarders like me.
There are mods to give you an infinite stash, but honestly you don’t need to save every green and blue you find. 90% of them are garbage. Just save one set of leveling items for melee/ranged and for caster, or maybe have a full tab of them if you really like saving junk, then sell the rest.
Started Out Really Slow until i got Granado for XP farming; but s%^$ hit the fan when I leveled to 20 and equipped the gunslinger Jacket. From crawling my pace geared up to “full-sprint” and netting me probably my fastest Cronley kill/Act 2 completions and did it at the lowest level from my 3 runs so far. I’m impressed at what what mark of the assassin + mark of the dreg socket can do to the DPS of a gun DW caddence build.
I should probably start grinding levels again I think I severely underlevelled for Act 3.
Currently, experimenting on combinations now that the retaliation base damage is strong, would like to mellow it out and put some POW to my melee attack
Will probably farm Bastion of Chaos more. lots of loot and lvls can be gained in that place
Did some good work with my Poison-Assassin based Witch Hunter today. Not the fastest but very fun. played it side by side with a video guide for poison build
