Pants can be replaced with dreeg sect, that also frees up 2 more augments for survivors ingeniuty (which pushes OA to 2300). With Aether/Lightning Druid Necrosis is the best choice, I think. Iskandra is nice with aether and elemental boosts, some defenses. Since Aether/Lightning is kind of odd combination, it’s a good choice. I see double marks of illusions and arcane lens, how energy starved this build is? Light’s Defender has solid stats and proc. Pants to fill resistances. Belt for more aether/elemental and +1 to arcanist. Medal gives health and health regen (which is main defense on this build). Two things though: Getting SotH would probably sacrifice too much resistances and this setup kind of lacks OA.
@Cthon Now that you mention it, I did realize even after Aether to Lightning by the set, Lightning damage in Devastation didn’t give much damage, even Fire still larger.
I guess I should treat Lightning damage as tertiary.
@Crauler To be honest it doesn’t require much that energy regen after Arcane Lens, plus I have some Energy Drain from IEE and Arcane Spark. The reason 2 Mark of Illusion is because I want DA. :rolleyes:
I have a lightning druid that performs well enough, killed everything vanilla and got to 139 gladiator when I died(only tried once). Did some tweaking after advice from JoV so will most likely clear now. So don’t stop working on your druid:)
PS. My elementalist(equal build lightning focus) works better though.
My beef with the Aetherstorm set is that it wants you to scale a damage type you’re converting away from. In effect it’s not really an Aether/Lightning set. It’s a Lightning set. Well that, and it gives skill bonuses to a bottom tier class combo that can’t be exploited at the same time thanks to boosting 2 exclusive skills.
If I were to hazard a guess I’d say that Chthon’s Sorcerer is likely a pure Lightning or a Fire/Lightning build. Probably using Temporal Tempest to get more conversion too. If the set converted Lightning to Aether, and if there was an Aether DoT to make use of the converted Electrocute, then Druid would make sense as a class pick.
As an aside, we really need more Aether->Element conversion, same thing with Chaos. Converting to Aether and Chaos is nice and all but it’s a bit restrictive build wise. Imagine if the Invoker’s set had conversion on it, Elemental PRM could be viable…
@Grillz It’s not like I want to lost hope on my build, but I kinda have a conclusion that this is the peak performance of my Druid. So I really need some advice from the experts :p. And trying to get that Decree of Aldritch is kinda hell for this build. It can kill but…sigh:undecided:
@FluorineWizard Yeah it’s possible he’s going full lightning. But I kinda like Aether so…
Anyway, after tweaking here and there, I come up with this Sorcerer

I want to know what is the possibilities build for Aether Lightning as I like this skill. And I decided to left this druid until something good come up.
