I costantly run ouf of aether crystals cause i have too many heroes and i keep crafting badges of masteries, tier3 relics etc…
I tried to think about an efficient and quick farming route to farm those damned crystals, but maybe someone already have his optimized route to do so.
So anyone?
Warden’s Laboratory rift then going back up to the shrine
Burial hill + cave
I also do the run from the last waygate in act 1, backtracking to the shrine. It has about 11 crystals.

Once you get to honored with Black Legion you can get the quest that opens up The Immolation, which is a magical candyland of aether shards/crystals as long as you don’t mind a bit of hot feet. You also get about 3 bags of loot and a couple dynamite on top of all that, if you like money.
damn true! I wasn’t thinking at that quest, yeah i did remember there were a lot of crystals in that place…
And once you’ve done the quest you can go back whenever you like! I usually get ~16 crystals and 1-4 shards, along with a huge bucket of yellows/greens, a couple blues, and 2 dynamite.
If you’re bad at games like me, the ground damage in the Immolation makes it unacceptably hazardous as a farming route. The wardens lab back to shrine is a much less stressful path.
I feel the Burial Hill run is the best one. No aetherfire, the enemies are weak and Kyzogg drops Grand Spoils which have a decent to drop good stuff (i got some legendaries this way).
Burial hill is best if you wanna get some tainted brains and possibly some gear in the mix. But wardens lab final port and running backwards through the level is def best for pure crystal farming. Throw a riftstone on your character temporarily if you don’t have a dash and dash through there. There’s like 12? crystals and you just farm em up/reload and go back at it again, you can quickly amass a hundred. Small chance you run into valdaran too!
