This build is probably one of my favorites since it is really flashy
The point is to make use of both Aether and Lightning. Two odd damage types that have been paired up in many constellations, most notably Spear of the Heavens, i chose Savagery cause i wanted to go two-handed. The result is a strong build that can faceroll most content.
Build Concept-
1. Stacking Flat damage-
> Aether-
You have Occultist, just max out Possession and Solael’s Witchfire and use 2x AD rings to achieve 100% chaos to aether conversion. Get a Temporal Arcblade which has flat aether damage. And you’re done.
> Lightning-
Savagery’s innate flat lightning damage is low, but Eye of the Storm relic and Brute Force make up for this.
2. Double RR-
Resistance Reduction is bound to be a key focus for any good build. Since we have two main damage types we need to make sure we have enough RR for both these types. Fortunately our two major RR sources in the devotion are capable of reducing both these damage types
>Arcane Bomb -33% (for both Aether and Lightning)
>Acid Spray 30 flat reduce resistances
Further using Occultist mastery gives access to Curse of Frailty which reduces Lightning Resistance by 30.
In total we get,
Aether RR -63
Lightning RR -93
3. Lack of racial damage-
Usually when going Aether damage, it’s recommended to use %damage to aetherials when dealing with them. Fortunately we don’t have to worry about them in this build since we deal significant Lightning damage to them we can take them down easily. Valdaran is a whole other story however
4. Going dual-damage-
Unlike my Aether Lightning Saboteur where focusing on two damage types i gimped the full potential of the build, i feel in this build i am not doing this. The main reason is because there using Decree of Aldritch weakened my overall Lightning potential, in this build however no such conversion is taking place hence maximizing the output of both damage types.
Granted a Lightning/Electrocute focus build would be better but this build is strong in it’s own right.
This the GrimTool Link for Level 100 version of this build. Refer to this from now on, the old GrimTool link will be removed after a while

Not much of a reason to pick occultist anymore. Below are the better versions. They’ll be moved to a different thread soon

Vindicator - http://www.grimtools.com/calc/RVvPlwvN
Ritualist - http://www.grimtools.com/calc/4NOQnGPV
-The gear for Vindicator works on Conjurer and Ritualist, the converse is also true. All three setups are meant to show how flexible gearing of the build can be

Playstyle-
LMB- Savagery (w/ Falcon Swoop)
RMB- (Anything you want)
Keyboard 1- Curse of Frailty (w/ Arcane Bomb)
Keyboard 2- Blood of Dreeg
Keyboard 3- Wendigo Totem ( w/ Acid Spray)
Skill Setup-
1. Defensive Route-
I went this route. Go full into Occultist Mastery bar and get Possession to get that damage absorption, you are more tanky this way. Your sheet dps is almost same as the offensive route. What you loose is the %crit damage from Stormcaller’s Pact.
I personally prefer this route since i can survive things that can one-shot most builds like Rashalga’s shotgun aura, Log’s shotgun spit and Shar’Zul’s axe swipes that hit like a truck.
Also, i have more aether damage to work with this way and can cap my Chaos Resistance
2. Offensive Route-
I haven’t tested how this works. Basically you go full into Shaman Mastery bar and get Stormcaller’s Pact. Boosted by your plus skills you should have a level 15 Stormcaller’s Pact giving you high %crit damage.
You do loose the damage absorption and capped chaos resistance this way but also get more burst damage this way through your crits.
Also, you loose a little aether damage.

Bosses-
You’re pretty tanky and have a good damage output. You can faceroll most of the content. Special note on some bosses.
1. Rashalga-
Watch out for her aura, i do kite a little when facing her if i mistime my heals. Don’t worry though, you won’t get shotgunned to death your hp will drop pretty low and your Mark will get triggered, allowing your to facetank her for the next 3 sec
2. The Iron Maiden-
She’s hard to deal with due to my stun resistance being below 80. You can kill her though, your damage o/p makes up for this
3. Valdaran-
He’s highly resistant to both our damage types, no idea how the fight would go since i haven’t seen him and i don’t like searching for him since his spawn locations aren’t my favorite.
In Closing-
Credits to Cinna for pointing out errors in GrimCalc
I do wish we get more support for these two damage types. And i don’t mean shitty conversion support, i mean actual stuff that supports these two damage types.
Overall this is a great build and i hope you guys enjoy playing with it.
