So I Theory crafted an Aether Oppressor that I’m currently working on leveling up. I’m wanting some ideas of how to optimize the build as I’m hoping to get it to where I can 170 gladiator farm with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Shifted some points around to get Ascension (Easy Fix)
Devotion distribution is defo suboptimal since I only threw them together really quickly just to get an idea of what I was going for. As for the rest, not really sure what I should do for those.

Devotions: Spear is mandatory for a melee aether build for instance. You could also take bat with 50% vit to aether conversion. Ulzaad is useless for your build.
Have a look at some top tier DeathKnight/Spellbinder DW builds in GDC IX and check their devo paths.

Thank you, Updated it to reflect the way you had the skills. As for the weapon the point of it is to make righteous fervor to 100% fire damage which between the belt and magelord rings should be converted to 100% aether. Unless, of course, I’m misunderstanding how the conversions work.
Edit: Devotions are also updated now. Should be looking alot more optimized, although I think I can still do better

Pretty sure damage conversion happens only once so phys that gets converted to fire stays that way. Mythical Mindwarp would probably be way better.
Conversion only happens once. You convert the physical part to fire and it stays fire.
Well, scrap that plan then. Mindwarp it is then. Guess I’m more or less locked into a Krieg style build… Kinda wanted to Avoid Krieg since it’s honestly just boring.
This is very interesting, and something that I thought about doing. I am actually really interested in making a build with that sword as well, but it seems like the only way for it is to go pure fire, or maybe convert it to cold (If that is even possible).
Everyone’s saying it only converts once so I’ll probably try a Fire Oppressor next after i’m done with this Aether Oppressor. But yea, I do think the Mythical Soulblade has alot of potential to be broken wide open. Probably not in an oppressor build but maybe something to do with demolitionist.
