Aetherfire vs Aetherspark damage

I’ve been staring at this for a while. With my level 67 Arcanist/Occultist, the Aetherspark is value 630, lvl 50 and does 5479-5773 aether damage. The Aetherfire is value 1664, lvl 60 and does 5222-5486 aether damage. The stats seems to indicate the Aetherfire should do more damage. What’s up? Thanks!

  • Is this 5222-5486 on some skill like Aether Ray or default attack?

  • Maybe a lot of your damage is Elemental damage which is boosted by Aetherspark too but not by Aetherfire which could potentially result in the former having more damage

If you’re looking at the DPS for Aether Ray, the cast speed on the Aetherspark will be what swings it, I suspect
