Albrecht's Aether Ray needs ADCtH mod on one of the relevant gear pieces

I have +20 decent amalgamation shards already in my stashes from old farming. No need to trade, just farm.

It’s for presenting a concept. A large reason on why people look for builds is because they wanna know if the concept they had in mind works and if someone already did it so they can use a guide.

The thing with people frowning over builds with double rare greens is that it doesn’t take half a brain to see that many of those builds work without the double rare green. For example, this build uses Seraphim Stoneplate Greaves of Destruction, which I got from crafting. A few clicks should tell you that the boots only need an elemental res affix (which is very easy to get, btw unless you only crafted like 10 sets of boots) to be okay and one fire res affix doesn’t make or break a build at all. But since I have the item I will use it and include in in the post because (1) why post a build with items that you don’t wanna use? and (2) if you wanna get the best results then use the items that you think will yield the best results. If you don’t have the said item then use your brain to find substitutes. If you can’t then ask questions and many people will help you

No, man, you didn’t get my point. I was simply saying that AAR Spellbinder is the squishiest of all Spellbinders that you can make, that’s all. Whereas Agrivix CT Spellbinder can be built to be basically invincible. That’s all I was saying.

I know that, I was asking because mad_lee’s answer to my first post made it sound like hardcore AAR spellbinder is a bad idea when I use trading, which just confuses me a lot.

Edit: ninja’d. Thanks for the clarification.

He probably means that you can make other more durable spellbinders in HC than AAR. No idea what trading refers to.

And game is all about having fun, if you think AAR is fun to play with you should do it of course.

If you trade on HC and that AAR binder dies (cause as mentioned, it’s squishi) then you basically gave away yout items for nothing cause you’ll lose them (unless you revive that char with GDstash).

Yeah, that was the idea. I didn’t read any builds here or anywhere, and I wasn’t really sure if I would be going AAR at all. I read somewhere that it probably wasn’t a top tier skill or anything, especially compared to other changeling spells. But I was thinking about the possibility. I had invested a lot in PRM by the time I killed Amalgamation for the first time on Veteran, and it dropped a Pulsing Shard, which convinced me to respec.

So I have no idea how far I will make it on hardcore with this build, without any farmed items in my stash, but I hope I’ll make it through ultimate campaigns at least.

I’m a hoarder, so even if I traded, I would only trade away duplicates anyway, so no problem there, I guess.

But that is true for all HC builds, they all have a chance to die. AAR just means taking a bigger risk.

That’s the point. AAR isn’t recommended for HC especially if you trade because it’s high risk of losing the items you got form the trade. That’s how I interpreted his statement.

but you will lose items if you die anyway, regardless if you found them yourself or not. You will save some farming time at the end of the day.
