For hc players i think it could provide useful since during combat you cant give your attention to the hp bar under the screen. Half of the time i died because i didnt realize i was losing so much hp if i did maybe it could ve been avoided and that is a really unpleasant way to die after many hours when you know it was just a distraction with a easy solution. Hopefully you can add this as an option to the game.
Unlikely to come to GD but you can use Grim internals instead
Grim internals is a tool that add a hp bar above the character’s head (althouth you can take if off if you don’t want it). On top of that that tool ( not a mod, but a tool) is known for the auto pick-up of materials in a radius around you as you move. You can add greens/Mi items to be auto pick-up as well.
Tried it now and it works nicely thanks guys gonna open next hc char and play without worrying to check hp bar every second now hopefully it will stay functional through new updates.
Glad you can play hc a bit more relaxed now. 
GlockenGerda, the maker of the tool, will continue to work on it and it will be functional with FG, so do not worry.
