Any map seed for flat land, no big lake, rich of minerals?
Not sure if that’s possible. Flat land with little or no lakes is going to probably be a Plains map type and those don’t have many mineral resources on them.
Every time new settlement has no selection of Plainland, mountain or ets? I am from Steam… Oh my bad, I saw the select option now, Sorry for my silly ^^
Yes, need to go into the Advanced Settings to choose map type and also what difficulties you want to set for the game. You can mix and match those, i.e. more diseases happening, but less raiders. Also if you don’t want to put up with raiders/predators then tick the Pacifist mode box.
As said, All Flat Land would be a Plains type map, which is apparently designed to also be short of minerals.
My experience has been that all map types have some shortcoming to them, but I have rolled a lot of Lowland Lakes maps with very little actual ‘lake’ on them, so that they were mostly flat land, some rolling hills pretty easily ‘terraformed’ or flattened, and lots of resources.
BUT you generally have to ReRoll a map several times to get anything resembling what you want, and some of us crazies have rerolled dozens or hundreds of times looking for the Perfect Seed.
It becomes a mini-game of its own: there is a separate collection of posts on the Farthest Frontier Discord labeled Seed Sharing, in fact, which will give you some other players’ ideas of ‘Perfect Maps’
This, I find a map with the resources I need then reroll until I get the terrain I want…
Since now every time you Restart a map, not only the spawn points for predators but also deer and mineral resources points shift, I ReRoll until I get the terrain I want, then ReStart until the 4 Wolf Spawns aren’t right next to my preferred starting point or the Deep Deposit Coal and Iron are not right in the great flat spot where I want to put the residential areas. . .
Important point that you raised.
