Any mod to make primal spirit permanent?

I would be curious if there is any mode to make primal spirit permanent instead of temporary, if not how could I do it?

Much appreciated.

Well, I came late to the game, literally, and now that link is dead. So I wanna revive the question, in case the mod was posted elsewhere and I’m just having no luck finding it.

Is there a mod to make Primal Spirit a perma pet? I don’t even care if the damned thing is nerfed as far as stats go, I’m sick of respawning the f*cker who doesn’t immediately attack enemies half the time and waste his own lifespan.

Nope, sorry. No mods that I know of do this. However, there is a relic called Nemesis which does give you a permanent manticore as an additional pet.

There are also other items in the game which give you +1 to a pet’s summon limit so you can summon a second Briarthorn, Hellhound, Raven, etc. There may be one for Primal Spirit, but it would still be only a temporary summons.

Fortunately, if you have the expansion, you don’t need a mod to make the summon have 100% uptime. It won’t technically be permanent, but you can make the duration to be about as long as the cooldown with a few items. Look for these:

https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/8598
https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/8986

The more of these three items you find/wear, the lower the cooldown of the skill will be (or the longer your summon will live). If you wear all 3, he has 100% uptime.

Some of these items are only available at high levels though, so if you’re looking for a way to play at a lower level with a constant primal spirit, you’ll need a mod (and I’m not a mod specialist, so I wouldn’t know where to locate one).

Also, if you set pets to Aggressive mode they’ll charge right in, no hanging about. Simply right click on their icons and select Aggressive.

Yes, but all pets are default aggressive and I never change it. It’s just something that happens. Even my briarthorn, if it dies in battle, and I resummon it–in battle still–will just hang around my character as if there aren’t enemies at all. shrug

Thanks! I had no idea about this relic, I knew about the stormhound, but only recently

Thanks! These will help

No, they’re not. All pets are by default set on Normal. If you want them to be Aggressive or Defensive you have to right click on their icons and set them that way. Aggressive will show a red sword against a pet’s icon, Defensive a blue shield.
