More heroes - more loots and potential soul echoes.
I haven’t settled my debt with him since my very first character, so I don’t remember if we get anything good from finishing the quest. But I definitely see the benefit in having extra heroes to fight.

when you settle the debt you can still instruct him to send his associates after you.
Do you want to do Tomb of the Heretic? You can’t unlock the door even with the 3 pieces, unless you get told how.
I don’t think that’s the case.
I’ve unlocked the tomb a couple dozen times. All of those minus one I told Riggs “I’m not working for you” and never started the quest to fetch the Iris.
you get a random legend on Ultimate iirc, that’s the reason
like bdurruti says you can still get associates hunting you, so there’s really no reason to not just cash in on the free item rng
Actually no. You can unlock the door with the three pieces without talking to Riggs once.
You get a free skeleton key from Riggs if you accept to get the jewel item from Tomb of the Heretic.
And I’ve been denied opening the door with all 3 pieces, so there’s some other trigger.
And i have always opened the gate with the three pieces without talking to Riggs. You’re missing something.
Yes, I think you’re right, just tested it. The text says that without knowledge blah blah you can’t open the door, but there’s a nice green check mark option to open it, if you have the seals. Not sure why I backed off to talk to Riggs that one time.
Pre level 100? Experience (quest & mobs) and loot (get a few free from him). Plus, it’s fun to do that dungeon on your own terms. When Nok asks me to go in there, I usually don’t. I would say it’s an 80% no and 20% maybe. That 20% is usually 60% no and 40% yes. The only dungeon that is 100% no is Port Vulbury (sp). Hate that place.
Level 100 only when I feel like it. That’s actually about a 50% chance, even with Nok if I need to grind out his rep. Get an ash as a quest reward, so totally worth it even if you have all the potions and blueprints.
