What i was thinking is goind for full dmg on devotion ( i plan to get Ulzuin`s Torch) and take some defensive second mastery. I want to make the build around fire and chaos dmg.
I plan on going 1/1 psy/spirit
Questions are:
Which is a good second class
a) Soldier ( for hp, mehnirs will, field command, military conditions) b) Arcanist ( for Mirror, maivens, inner focus, arcane will, and maybe IEE)
c) Occultist (solael witchfire, blood of dregg)
which are my best options to get resistance reduction on enemies ( elemental/fire/chaos resistance reduction)
Oops ! sorry. Should have made it more clearer. Pick curse + vulnerability(modifier). The slowdown is not very effective against bosses but really good for mobs but it also has a good physical damage debuff against melee bosses.
Edit 1 : And I think it synergizes well with falme touched (+elemental) and solaelâs witchfire (+vitality)
Edit 2 : If you are planning to taking your char to solo crucible, Iâd advise against pyro (too squishy). If you want to play support with a tank it does wonders for clear speeds.
Build is pretty good, but I think some of the points in some skills seems excess. This is a traditional dw build for pyro http://grimcalc.com/build/1006-u9eYSh with some very slight variations.
Sacred Strike and Mark of Dreeg are not â-%â; they are âX reduced target resistancesâ. As a consequence, they will not stack together. OFC, you could stack 2 MoDs, etc in a weapon + focus setup, but not 2 weapons setup.
Do the resistance reduction from vulnerability (curse of frailty), eldritch fire(devotion skill) and viper(devotion last point) stack? i mean, like all 3 of them, at the same time ? what about hellfire mine ?
Another question, i put eldtrich fire to fire strike and fissure to flashbangâŚis that ok ?
They all stack, butâŚdoes it matter ?! I mean you will still have to facetank if you plan to use the hellfire mines properly. There is a specific point in the game after which you would want to invest into survivability (e.g. fail-safe mechanisms, more DA, more HP, overcapped resistances, another fail-safe, etc.) and not more dps.
Remember the rule of Uroboruuk: âA dead man has no DPSâ.
Well, overcapped resistances are part of the plan.
I want to avoid facetanking(no mines then) ans avoid bosses like Crownley and Iron Maiden(maybe valdaran too).
Plans is to have max ress, somewhere along of 8-9k hp, and just kill stuff before they get to me(glass cannon).
Resistance will protect me from aoe and ranged stuff that may hit me, and hp for the ocasional hits.
Thatâs why i want as much ress reduction as possible.
Interesting - I didnât know that affixes on offhands were merged onto the main hand. Is the same true of components? i.e. if I put a Mark of Dreeg (10 Reduced targetâs resistances for 5 seconds) on a Plaguebearerâs item (20 Reduced targetâs Resistance For 5 Seconds), do they merge and stack to 30 or does the 10 just bounce?
About the survival part, heck, i only got 5k hp and some ressistance are 0, but i keep my distance, and i tend to die rarelyâŚ
The gear i got is crap, coz i want to make it self found ( i got 2 exterminus and 1 devil tongue in stash).
Tried the first quest of act 1 ultimate(safe distance all the way) ( the reanimator, did it without troubles, if i get hit even by a zombie i have a big chance of dieing, but that`s another matter).
I will try to get my resitance max for ultimate, and that would be the main form of defence along blast shield and giant`s blood.
As i got 38 points left and i`ll get another 6 from quests( devil crossing inventor and hidden path) that makes it 44 skill points.
My questions are the following:
a) is second rite any good? ( i want to use mainly fire dmg )
b) is aspect of the guardian worth it? i dont think its worth it for the poison and pys rezist, as i plan to max poison and not get hit.
c) is temper of any use? (flame touched transmuter)
d) should i put more points into searling light? (for the fumble on bosses)
e) maybe go 16/16 grenado + 12/12 high impact for bosses? ( but that would also require ulzuin chosen)
f) going full occultist mastery and getting 9 points into possesion a good option?
g) is the revenant devotion worth it the extra points i dont know where to spend, or i could get something better? ( so far, revenant gives me 9 ATCtH, 6 attack speed, 3% health and 20% vit res (ignore the rest like dmg to undead and energy absorbed) Besides those question, if is there anything you would like to add/correct/sugget regarding dmg, please do so. Im not ready to go into defensive devotions and stuff, at least not untill i hit a wall.
