Is there any way to run multiple mods at one time? For example, I would like to try Grimmer and Grimmest with Rebalanced Levels. I have both downloaded and it seems I either choose one or the other in the game menu :undecided:
The short of it is: no, that function is not yet built into the game and there are not yet any external programs for bypassing the issue.
The less short version is yes, but you have to do it manually:
If the files used by the mods don’t conflict, then yeah, you can put them all in the appropriate directories of a mod folder and build the mod with the asset manager. Bit of a pain, especially if the mods only supply the packed files.
If you only have ‘arc’ files, probably not. The database.arz needs to be aware of both mod sources. If you have the source to both mods, then the prior reply is correct “as long as they don’t conflict.” I managed to make my stash expansion work with Grimmest (TOO MUCH FUN) but it required the source.
I didn’t release the source to my Stasher mod. I don’t want to support people trying to modify things or embed it since I barely got it working to begin with. I might let other modders have a copy if they contribute to the community and I don’t have to support it much. I also spent an insane amount of time trying to import the graphics, which is a required step. (Well you could possibly expand the transfer stash to window boundary without importing graphics… but as I said no support from me on this.)
Oh yeah, should be more exlicit. If you have the source to both mods you need to rebuild the assets, and then rebuild the mod. What you’re needing is the archivetool.exe to update the arz file with extended database. When I bundled the compiled Stasher mod with Grimmest, it “half” worked because it recognized some changes but not others. It was 0% usable with “half” of the changes.
